    Hello BHW members!

Direct on the topic, i am working for a keyword that has about 800 monthly searches and is quite easy to rank because the pages that have dominated the google SERP have hardly 50% unique content and 2 or 3 backlinks from web 2.0

What i tried for my web page is, first i wrote about 800 words article(most website on first page have 400-500 words; few of them have 1000). I have put some images and embedded a video. I have done proper interlinking to other pages of my website. Additionally, i have created about 5 backlinks, some of which are from web 2.0 and others from forum. i have increased the social sharing of the page as well.

I still cannot figure out why i am unable to rank. I didn't notice any changes since 2 months. Whenever i make backlink, it gets indexed after few days(found it on Webmaster tools) but there is no change in keyword's position. any help?

Well if your domain is new and has 0 quality BLs then... Will be a little harder to beat the aged ones already ranking... Maybe try to create/buy some quality links that give you real link juice?

First, you need to add 5 PBN link for test, and check it around 1 or 2 week. if your keyword move, add more PBN .

Make sure your content is rich, well-written, and useful to the readers; quality is far better than quantity. Update your page regularly. Optimize your webpage design, make it faster, mobile friendly and easy to navigate. Be active on social media, link your web page to your social media accounts, post on groups and forums.

give it time man. 2 months is not enough. Wait for another month and build more links. Few blog posts should do the trick.

Build some quality backlinks from the good authority websites which are based on your site niche that will help you. Also keep writing the quality contents on your keywords and make sure the contents are unique.

Instead of some new web 2 links you should probably try some pbn or better bls from better sources. Beating already ranked aged sites will require some more effort and time.

    Hi OP,

    • Can you provide more information about the site? Is the entire site brand new, or just the post/article/page you are trying to rank?
    • Does the URL have a penalty? Is the page set up for mobile? How fast is the site?
    • Does the site already rank well for other key words (indicating that it's structure is SEO friendly).

I've had sites that were either inherently configured wrong or just could never rank. I review the thing mentioned above to see if I'm wasting my time or not.

If you're not ranking you need better links period.

Also just because you can't find backlinks on the pages that are ranking doesn't mean there aren't any.

They could be using cloaked links etc. that just don't show up on Majestic, Ahrefs etc.

Dude, just be patient. Make sure that you are using the right keyword and you put them on the right placement throughout your site. Your web page copy should be presentable and well-arranged in a logical and visually pleasing manner. Increase your social signals.
