I can't say words like "dude" or "yo", they just come out as nonsense like "due" or "young-old". I tried pronouncing and correcting carefully for like 10 times and it still gives me the same results.

How on earth do you guys churn our articles with this thing? It's seriously frustrating. What problems did you face when you first started using this program and how did you overcome them? Help a text2speech newbie out!

I thought about it for a while but didn't feel like spending $200 on a decent microphone and then spending weeks training the damn program.

Out of the box it's somewhat precise but after you speak with it for a while it will become more correct as it learns how you speak. Also it is essential that you talk with it like you would with a human, popular belief is that you have to talk to those things like they're retarded but it was made to understand flowing speech.

Also when you do corrections I do believe that you have to do them with voice and not just edit it manually with keyword (which is another annoyance).

For me personally, as said didn't feel like spending $200 on a microphone especially since I can type a 300 word article in 15 minutes with minimal errors (Word usually corrects them).
