so i wrote up some ebooks (around 10-15 pages each) on various topics and i want to sell them on DP and/or WF.

problem is, i never did that before - any tips and hints on doing this are highly welcomed.

and i've also got 2 pecific questions:
    1. what's the sweet spot when it comes to the price for small ebooks? i'm thinking about 17$
    2. which kind of users do i give a review copy? would it work over there if i send one of the requesters a PM that if he gets a review copy, he'll have to write a good review even if he thinks it's crap?

btw, does it pay off to put small ebooks on clickbank etc?

    1) Forget clickbank
    2) DP sux. Not many people now a days buy ebooks more than $10.
    3) For WF, you ebooks need to be real good stuff
    4) Regarding reviews, yea u can do tht...allz fare in love & ebook sale...lolz

man you need several reviews from some people with high itrades from DP, or, good rep if you go WF route. This, mean you need to jv or pay somepeople off for testimonials. My advice is see if people here have accounts at them forums and can help you with that. If you try and do it from those forums you will get banned. Another, mountain to climb, is then you will need to create a paypal screenshot...dont know who would do that for you......after that then you need to sell a ebook with a good subject or a good method....not sure of your knowledge base or creativity so I cant go into a price point....this is the reason I have not done it myself!

    Good luck

EDIT: As you know one method on dp can go as much as $50+, so if you got something with a twist that tthe whales will bite then get that money!
Like I said it depends on you.

Before you post the e-books for sale, you need to do some ground work and spend the time to do this. Most people who fail tried to skip these essential steps and then didn't know what happened when their sale was unsuccessful. So, here' I'll tell you about WF, mostly because I don't know about DP and I hear that they are a rough bunch. You need to have been a contributing member in the forum for several months in order to have a successful sale. That's key number 1. Don't try to spam the forum or give 4 word "that was great stuff" posts and think that you're going to get away with it. Use these few months on the WF to actually study that niche. It's a unique bunch, and the money is being spent there, HOWEVER, the majority of the successful sales are not new sellers or flash in the pan new members. You need to understand how the forum works, and you need credibility. Take your time, your future sales numbers will thank you. Once you've figured out how the forum works, watch the older members and follow their posts. Don't stalk or pm them, just watch and learn. Then make sure that you subscribe to posts that are similar to your subject in your e-reports. Post replies, but don't be smarmy--consider not using a sig link, because after all, you're building credibility, not selling stuff. While you're at it, go to the profile page and write stuff about yourself because a bunch of warriors will want to click your profile button so give them something to read. When the time comes, consider posting a request for help -- like are you interested in X subject, what can I do to make it better, how much would you pay for this kind of report, etc. THEN Listen to what your market is telling you. THEN give out 3 copies for testimonials to whoever answers the thread. ALSO ask some of the old-time members that have been doing this for years to consider giving you a review. This can be great if you can find a member willing to give a review, and it can be awful if you wanted the review to help you but they honestly think that the product is crap and have posted about it publicly. Your last step should be to get one of the "how to post a WSO on the WF" e books. There are 2 or 3 excellent ones, and they cost money. Research them on the forum, and ask for recommendations in a thread. Don't be afraid to spend money on this as a properly executed WSO will be very profitable. Last, while on the WF, don't get too worked up about your post count and the almighty 'thanks' button. Good luck.

great balls of fire:eek:...to the OP if you want to go the white hat route do as he said. Frankly, I dont like to feel like an authoritarian...I feel phoney and dirty so I need a shower with this method. Pretending for months(time consuming), barf...however, if you want to be like the gurus then do what the gurus do. POLITIC and bullshit...

Well...what No Limits had written might be the case with WF forum, but surely not with DP...u just need a good marketing, that's it. I mean, come on...there're people there who are selling warez and they don't get banned :D Besides, the true blackhat method would be to buy an account or hire somebody to post for you and work up your post count & rep.

This was written as if you were talking to someone on WF. This is BHW.
Ask for members here who have a good post count on WF or DP. I'm sure there are some here that have multiple long term accounts. Pay them for their review or JV with them.

There's no sense in waiting several months to build up a good post count and watching what everyone else does although it will help for future ventures.

I agree with just going for it. Bundle some PLR together and sell it as a new e-book, for $5-7 on DP and similar 'unsophisticated' sites, but offer the same e-book via CPA on WF or your own site/blog (free download upon completing an offer). Put the WF ad in the regular classified section---if you posted it to WSO, you'd have to pay a fee and create something with highter quality. For reviews, you could send copies to some Indian writers and pay them $2 to write a short review of the ebook, as opposed to paying an arm and a leg to JV partners.
