***This thread is me rambling on how effective this technique actually is.... If you have anything to comment for people to add or disagree, go at it below:
If there is anything anyone has ever learned on the internet it's CLICKBAIT. I cannot stress enough how important it is to use proper keywords in your title that also include clickbait, but most importantly (IS RELEVANT TO YOUR POST/VIDEO). Those 3 factors are the most important when it comes to getting attention. Read below some tips when creating the title of your next post/video:
#1 Retention Increase: For you entire video, was there something RARE that happened? Something that you can make clickbait or grab attention? If so try using that as a keyword in the title. This should be a small part of the video and make sure to NOT include a short scene of this in the beginning of the video. Usually you would think opposite, but doing this automatically allows the viewer to prejudge your entire video... You would lose a % of potential viewers as the first few seconds will not please 100% of the viewers, but leaving the entire clip somewhere in the middle/end will force the user to either watch the video or skip through which allows you to gain AdSense off them. (This is going to build your audience retention so try this next time your retention is low... Remember, if your video is being shown for keywords you are including, its for a reason. Retention anything below 85% is too low).
#2 Keyword Research: Again with videos, if you are not using the keyword tool GOOGLE offers to help rank you on websites like GOOGLE or YOUTUBE, then you are doing keyword research WRONG. I only use https://trends.google.com/trends/ and it is dumb to use otherwise.. This tool is automatically linked and synced to LIVE results when searching for keyword searches. In other words, it is the most accurate. (If you are having trouble gaining new viewers to help build your audience then try using this tool to help with that decision. Find a keyword RELEVANT to the #1 tip above and add this along with keywords... You will notice more traffic coming to your videos when your video starts to rank higher for keywords with decent traffic.
#3 Funnel: Funnels are a huge play in the Social Media part of things. Whether your selling shirts, running Facebook ads or just building an audience you must focus on where your leading your traffic to help monetize... There is a book from Nickolas Kuzmich called GIVE. In this book he refers to a method to where basically you give something away prior to asking something in return. For example: If your goal is to get followers or subscribers, have an incentive to smash the subscribe/follow button. If your numbers are small in the beginning you must understand that your initial growth is crucial. "For the first 10 people who subscribe they will be entered in a chance to win (bla bla bla). If your numbers are big, then do first 100 people or first 1,000 people, etc. Make the prize relevant to what your profile is or has to offer.
