I recently launched my first online business with the help and advice of many BHW users. Now that the website is up and running, I need some help competing with some of the more established businesses in my niche. I started with a google adwords campaign budgeted at about $10-a-day. The copy in the ads are terrific and I've easily reached my limit every day since I've launched the campaign. My goal was to figure out how many clicks would result in an order and raise my budget accordingly, but unfortunately, I have yet to receive an order.

Where should I go from here? Should I lower my prices? Enlist the services of members of this community to do some 'grey hat' marketing in an effort amp up my organic traffic? Email blast?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you'd like to talk specifically about my business, feel free to PM me.

    JESSE

i think you should go from analyzing the data you have in your hand now.

how much is your CTR? nature of keyword your targeting? are they buying or are they just looking for info? how about the landing page? is it easy to read? does it attract readers to read the rest?.

List building is pretty good actually, but not with adwords, try to SEO a page and grab your email list.

    Just my 2cent though,
    Peter

If you can post more details on your online business (if possible post a link to your website), we can give you advice specific to your niche.

    d'oh - don't post a link.

Yeah I'd try getting some organic traffic flowing. Peterngo's point about purchase vs info rings home. If they're just looking for info you won't get a sale.

You should analyse some research from your competitors. Next step Keywords. You can analyse keyword from adword.

how many you impression for keywords ? reach for keywords ? Collect 100 keywords for your niche. And analyse your keyword reach, impression, search peoples and CPM & CTR also. Afterwards decide to run campaign based upon your keyword for impression rate.

You can get some info abo

Thanks for help so far guys. My guess is that most of the users browsing my site are either looking for information or shopping around. I decided to offer a free product that is at no cost/time for me. I'm linking a new ad about the free product to a contact form on my website.

    Questions:

How can I analyze my competitors keywords and ad campaigns? Even with this information, can I realistically compete with a $1000+ a day ad campaign?

Considering I've spent so much time launching this business, what is the safest way to increase organic traffic? Is there any services that you guys can vouch for? At this point, I can't afford to lose this site.

    Thanks again,
    Jesse
