We will not go into AT&T's incompetence, but I've been without dsl for a couple weeks and had to go back to tethering my windows mobile phones on Sprint. Which I actually find to be faster & obviously cheaper than using their mifi device. I don't pay extra for phone as a modem service, I just use my existing data plan.

On my Touch Pro I'm using the free Internet Sharing software I downloaded & on my Mogul I'm um using wmwifirouter.

Anyway, I was using 2 phones because they would always die after a couple of hours even though they were being charged while in use. They get HOT. Today I tried putting them on my laptop cooling pad & wow.... no battery drain at all. I have not even had to swap them or do soft resets, nothing! Just steady internet access.

Anyway, just thought I would share this in case anyone else had these issues.

What's this software you're using? I also have Sprint with a WM, but I've been using PDAnet which I had to buy and isn't always reliable. Good to know the network doesn't kick you off for tethering for long periods.

I used to use pdanet, but I didn't find it to be reliable enough. The first I'm using is "internet sharing fix", free download, just google it and it is on a couple of forums. The 2nd is wmwifirouter. I have sprint & have never had a problem with tethering for extended periods.
