what do you mean? if you mean linking to an affiliate site, you won't lose serps. if you mean a JS redirect, Google probably won't even know.

if i have a dentist website and im trying to redirect to a clickbank ad, i lose all my keyword density and it drops within a day or two in the serps. i have to throw alot more backlinks at it in order to keep it afloat. im trying to keep it up there without having to additional backlinking bc its already ranked well

then use a JS redirect OR check if the useragent is google bot and only echo redirect or link if it isn't.

Theres a hangup with this though. You have to redirect from posts, you cant use the primary domain (which im ranked for)

    http://mydentist.com - wont work

    http://mydentist.com/aboutus/ - will work

i need to find a way to redirect plugin that works for the primary domain

you can make it redirect from the index file too by taking the contents of your index file and replacing it with the landing page html. You're using wordpress though right? Not sure if you can make it work but it's worth a shot. Remember to make backups too.

What you're looking for is cloaking. You don't want google to know you're redirecting and you want to keep showing it the same content.

There are some really elaborate solutions to this that people have always felt are necessary, but I used to use a javascript redirect. I don't know if they'll pick that up now but it's worth a shot.

Just try not to mess around too much, it's the oldest trick in the book and about the most unethical move you can make in serps.
