Last week I called time warner cable and asked how much my bill was. The lady told me it was $116.00 past due, and I said ok, I will have it in a few days. The lady said ok and set up the arrangement. So in the mean time, the next months statement came out for $127.00. Three days ago, I paid the $116.00 then we woke up yesterday morning and our cable was off. I immediately called time warner (thinking that they maybe had not recieved it yet since we had paid from a machine). When the customer service dude came on the phone, I explained that we had paid the $116.00 3 days ago. In an "I'm better than you" tone, the guy said "Sir, your bill was $116.01, not $116.00". Really dude? 1 freaking cent! I said that the lady told me it was $116.00, then he said "Sir, we can restore your services right now if you just pay $127.00". I was mad! I said, NO! The lady told me to pay $116.00 and thats what I paid! He said, "ok sir, can you pay the 1 cent with a credit card right now?" So long story short, I ended up paying 1 freaking cent with a damn credit card to get my service back on. Them greedy f**ks! lol :D

Lol, we woke up this morning and it was off again. We called them and the 1 cent was declined. We used the wrong card to try to pay lol. So we accidentally fucked with them again :D

Imagine if million of their customers would be paying one less cent(i thought it was penny for you americans?) they would be losing alot! Money is money. But man, ISPs are really annoying to deal with, bunch of incompetent liars.

you can't win these days when dealing with large companies - they just aren't interested.

sure you can try to escalate to supervisors and get stuff done - but it is set up to take a very long time
to do so - and often you get disconnected and have to start over again.

the best idea to avoid stress/pain and general unhappiness is to stay right on top on your bills and keep yourself
    out of this position.

"the next months statement came out for $127.00. Three days ago"

I would pay this bill with all pennies older than 1983 and take pictures of the dates... Then when they accept them, I would send them a bill for 2 1/2 times what you sent them... Tell them the pennies are worth that scrap and take it off next bill since you all get messed up over pennies...

I never had any problems like that and I always contact them everymonth to know what is the minimum I can pay to keep my services on LOL. But I do it through their online support, text them what the minimum, pay it and then confirm it with the online chat takes about 5 minutes.

happened to me in the uk
my first years contract was up for 10 meg cable
and month 1 of year 2 saw a price increase of 1 pound
meaning my bill rose from 16 pounds to 17 pounds.
but ide forgot this, and i payed 16 pounds like normal forgetting
the bill had gone up by 1 pound.
24 hrs later my net was cut of, so i had to the pay the 1 pound
over the phone via cc and then ask them to turn my net back on
and set my directed debit back up, long story short, the next month
i left the right amount of money in the bank to cover the debit,
5 days after the next months bill was due i was cut off again, when i
called them and said WTF IS THIS, they said ohhh sorry some one at there
end didnt re setup the debit so we couldnt take the money,
so i asked why the fct did i waste my time last month re-setting up,
i told them, this time its your fault...... they re connected it

So everyone pay attention. Especially if your are TWC victims.

2011nfl we probably have the same package, since I pay about $120 a month too. So, you can take advantage of this HOT TIP. Story begins:

So, I deliver the used washer and dryer I sold on Craigslist to the chatty and morbidly obese lesbian; even drag it up to her 2nd floor apartment and install them both for free. Even stopped by Home Depot and got her a dryer hose.

When I like someone, I like someone.

So, she's telling me about what it's like working for customer service at Time Warner Cable and so naturally I ask if there is any way she can "do a brother a favor" (power to the people, up the power, down wid da MAN, and all dat shiz), and she lays out this brilliant idea.

TWC's fastest internet speed is "Turbo". Have no idea what the speed actually is, the point is that it's the fastest. And, the morbidly obese lesbian (you heard of a "muffin top" ? this gal has got a "pumpkin top") anyways she tells me that in order to deliver teh FASTEST internet speed possible, they have to remove ALL the FILTERS from the line. Which, if you think about it, it makes sense, as each filter attenuates the signal a little bit, and if TWC is maximizing the technical capabilities of the fiber optic line, then they can't have any impedence whatsoever.

So, guess what happens when you remove ALL the FILTERS from the line? That's right, you get FREE BASIC CABLE. You don't get the extended channels, the ones that require the use of a TWC box, but you get channels 2 through 76, which gets you all the hilly billy hand fishin', gold minin' and Jerry Springer "Who's the Daddy" a person could possibly want. And for free.

Did I mention it was for free?

Thas' right, gurrlfrend, I done sed it. It's sho-nuf is fo- FREE.

So, Internet-only "Turbo" costs $50.00 per month, which if I'm willing to lose the extrended premium channels (that I never watch anyways), and the $10.00 per month TWC "box" thing, I cut my monthy TWC bill from $120 to $50, and maybe triple my internet speed.

So I can spam faster, and make more money.

See, here's the thing. There's no reason to keep this "method" a secret. If TWC is going to sell "Turbo" (in order to compete with uVerse, and Verizon), they HAVE to give you the cable channels for free. No way around it. Restrict the cable TV, slow down the internet. Sell someone "Turbo", they have to open the line for the free cable TV.

Think they are going to tell you this? HELL NO.

This is just one reason why you should put effort into chatting-up 300 lb. 5 ft tall lesbians with a face that is pierced so that it looks like a pincushion, and looks like she's about to give birth to a 30 lb. pumpkin.

You are welcome for the hook-up, and don't forget to thank me, and tell the world how wonderful I and my lesbian friend are.

Lol, yea I have had the free cable before. I actually had it all the way up until I added the internet back in october. Once I got the upgraded service with internet, I just left it the way it was. I may downsize to the free cable again lol :D

Damn I had no idea TV is so expensive in the US!
    I mean internet at 50$ a month, TV at 120$ a month...

In Bulgaria we have 2 big TV Providers and for their biggest package they charge like 35$ a month, and my ISP charged me 20$ a month for 80-90Mbit connection with no downtime :)

I'd imagine the average monthly income of a Bulgarian citizen makes $35+$20 quite expensive if you've got a family to keep up?
