I am currently not thinking about monetisation yet
No, I asked https://www.blackhatworld.com/members/jeff-vh.1279228/
Just so you know you can tag members like this @Jeff Vh
I am from Europe, Belgium to be specific.
Nice results, mate!!
Sorry I forgot that time!
Very interesting to see more people getting into TikTok!
Are you starting with one specific account? Like one niche at a time?
I currently have been experimenting for the last 4 weeks with one main account (been throwing everything at it, just to see what performs and what doesn't, to gain optimal feedback, experience and whatnot).
Now I'm taking all that data to create different content, take different types of user actions and whatnot.
This 'main account' is an 'authentic & real account', with only original content (no reposting). It's in the business/finance/self development niche.
Targets are to grow it up to 10k, 25k then all the way to 100k. (Purely focused on long term brand building)
At the same time, I'm researching on setting up a small team to start with 'non-original' niche accounts. This would be mainly reposting content, however, with slight adjustments to have better traction with the algorithm.
I intend to start with one 'non-original niche account' as the next experiment, but only once I've got the manual labour to help me out lined up, as it would take too much time away from my other business ventures.
The targets for these 'non-original niche accounts' would be developing a niche audience, then eventually monetize this audience. Either by using new marketing opportunities on TikTok, siphoning users off onto other social media platforms, sponsorships, ads, affiliatie marketing or anything else that pops up. I'll be measuring the success of those non-original accounts by conversion rate & revenue, not mere 'follower numbers'.
I indeed am starting with one niche at a time.
It is very interesting to see that you are testing out different kinds of videos to see what works best.
Until today I've only posted 4 videos yet and did not even do a lot of F/UF, this resulted in 320 followers already. (The content is not original)
Unfortunately, one of my videos got taken down by TikTok (They did not explain why, and honestly, there was no need to.)
Anyways, since then my new posts are only shown to people that are already following me and are not shown on the For You Page anymore, in other words, I'm shadowbanned. This has ruined my motivation and now I'm not sure if I have to keep posting content on that account or if I should create a new account.
Benefits of creating a new account:
I will be on the For You Page again
Easier to get followers
Disadvantages of creating a new account:
I lose a very good handle
What are your thoughts on this? Will this shadowban go away after a while? Is my account doomed forever now?
Question: what was the reason for the takedown (as you say 'it was clear'?) (no need to specify the contents of the video if you aren't comfortable with that, but rather, I'm trying to find out what community guidelines you might have violated. From my experience, the shadowbans VARY a lot. And a lot of it depends on
- what type of content you are posting (original vs non-original, more specific 'copyright-related')
- what community guidelines you are breaking (imagine using the 'n-word' versus 'showing guns/depicting violence' versus 'talking about China' versus 'a video with too much skin' versus 'someone wearing clothing that looks like skin but isn't really)
- the history of your account (let's say their system suspects your account to be using automation, often hitting action limits, abusing other mechanisms, how old is your account, what's your average usage consuming on the account, ...)
- then a whole bunch of criteria I'm sure we have no idea about
I have never had videos shadowbanned for severe breach of community guidelines, so depending on the content of the video, I cannot comment on that. However, I had specific videos shadowbanned, which I then just switched to private without significant drops in views/engagement.
At the same time, I've seen with other accounts that shadowbans can last longer (sometimes hours, sometimes days, sometimes weeks). I do not know the specifics of this if I'm being completely honest.
Furthermore, about 'creating a new account'.
I don't think losing a handle is a big deal (worst case, you can always drop the account and re-claim the handle at a future point, right?)
If the video that was shadowbanned had severe community violations, a new account might be the best way to go, especially since the account is still small.
Another option is waiting it out, give it a few days or up to a week and see if something changes. If not, you can create a new account.
Side note on new accounts:
I recommend using a new device and a new internet connection (e.g. the same WiFi routed through a VPN service).
(you can use a VPN by simply removing the SIM-card from your smartphone and thereby bypass location-restrictions as well)
(if you use the same device, it's risky, as TiKTok has data on you and can most likely / most definitely link the new account to the old)
This is some very interesting and valuable information! Thanks a lot for your insights.
As to your question: This was a video of a girl doing sixpack, leg and ass-workouts that I found on IG, downloaded and reuploaded to TikTok. I also used some text from the app itself that said things like: "Follow me, comment your age and leave a like to make a chance of winning $100,00". Maybe the $100,00 is against their policy? Maybe too many parts of that woman's body were visible? lol
And ye exactly, I will probably delete this one and re-claim the username on a new device.
Will it be a problem if I log-in on my 'main device' a minute after creating this new account on the other device? (Which will not have a SIM-card)
I have been using tik tok for months now. It does not allow affiliate links but it allows you to leave your contact details and social media ids on the profile section. After tik tok viewers added you on social media, then you can msg them your landing page.
Hmm. I don't know. Could be many things!
It could be 'showing skin', it could be 'asking for age'.. it could be doing one of your first videos 'promotions' and 'so-called spam' already. Many factors imo
About your main device, what specifically do you mean? As long as they are not using the same internet / WiFi (or you are using a VPN), it should be fine to use either.
However, if you use another device on the same internet, I think it gets tracked
I feel like the shadowban is already over haha.
I used the 3 days-trial of Jeffrey for F/UF and suddenly my newest video has 1.5k views again and 130 likes!
This is probably just a coincidence but damn, I'm happy again lol. Now I don't have to do the hassle of deleting the account and creating a new one. Yay
Tiktok will decrease your amount of views after a video gets taken down but if you keep posting there won't be any issue.
Does anyone know how to get verified?
I posted content from someone on Instagram and was almost at 10k followers, but the original content creator joined tiktok, got verified and my account got banned.
I posted the same video unferified and it got 40k, the verified channel posted it and it got 640k views.
There are a number of direct routes to verification. There's a direct phone number and direct email address for a team that manages it.
Is there any known information as to the requirements for getting verified (let's say if you are a legit business and/or legit brand)?
In my experience, verification on another platform leads to no questions asked verification. Blue tick verification is pretty hard unless you're already verified somewhere else but can be achieved this a lot of evidence and notability. Popular Creator verification will be done for any accounts large enough regardless of notability.
This is a lot to do on TikTok,
For try I've just bought 3 shotout from a well known website and the results was:
I spent 35$ in 3 different shotout, from account range 80k/150k.
Results? One of those d*ck bought me fake views and likes to one of my last video,
I started to get indian followers, while mainly all my views come from Italy. He bought like 30k views and 300 likes.
At the same time I was in live show, and I reached 300 viewers online which for me was absolutely crazy since my maximum was 25 people connected all together (I also got 12$ donation on that live). Then I quit the live and I saw those bunch of indians ruining my video and my engagement.
Switched to private fast and removed the Indian followers. Now the video is growing (270k views).
But I might have get a shadowban because of this idiot, in fact my videos now are not growing fast as before.
Just hit 1Million Total views in 18 days.
This thread has lot of valuable information.
Question: how do you guys manage multiple accounts. I read somewhere that you can have maximum 2 or 3 accounts per device.
Separate names with a comma.
