I have been looking for options to attract paid traffic to my dropshipping sites for a couple of year.

Last year to advertise on TikTok Ads there was a lot of bureaucracy and only formal companies could advertise. However, apparently there have been some major changes and most tutorials on the subject on Youtube are outdated...I was able to create an account quickly (I have a company but used only personal data).

For those, like me, who are used to using FB Ads, a few notable things can be observed:

✅ There are no budget limitations. Well, maybe there are, but I haven't seen that. This is great for scaling quickly. Bye bye FB Ads with a budget limited to $50 a day...

✅ Very simple. There are no secrets and hardly Youtube gurus can sell courses about TikTok Ads, the targeting options are very basic and comprehensive, anyone can start advertising.

✅ I sell white hat products, my ads are approved in less than 10 minutes. In Facebook Ads anything is generating disabled ad accounts (including white hat, normal products and honest sales).

✅ Common sense says: TikTok is only used by teenagers...and kids don't buy anything, right? Wrong. Segmentation allows me to reach millions of people +25. It is far from being a platform used only by kids.

✅ Creative is essential. I have seen some youtubers saying that TikTok spends only if their ad is getting good results, otherwise the money is not wasted...I am not sure about that. But I am sure that the big secret is to make a successful video, if you can do that, you will have many chances to succeed.

Perhaps the biggest problem is the location limitation...someone in the United States cannot target Europe, for example, only a few countries. A high-quality proxy is enough (at least for now) to bypass this barrier.

FB Ads versus TikTok Ads seems to be a new episode in the battle between China vs. the United States for control of the global economy, I suggest you take advantage of both, but TikTok seems to be a very solid alternative and is improving a lot in the last few months, while FB Ads continues to be more and more strict.

Agree with all of the above. TikTok is incredibly valuable for lower-funnel objectives as well as brand awareness.

So if I am in the UK, I can only target the UK or what are the limitations?

You will be able to target the UK and some other countries. But as far as I know, you won't be able to target Canada and the United States for example.

I don't know the exact countries, I am advertising with an American proxy and the countries available to me are USA, Canada, Egypt, UAE, Turkey, KSA, Korea and Japan.

Are Crypto Ads allowed on TikTok? Thanks!
I found that for you :
Ads promoting single securities or other tradable financial assets, bail bonds, debt assistance programs, get rich quick schemes, pyramid schemes (including non-financial pyramid schemes) and multi-level marketing, penny auctions, binary options, cryptocurrency wallets, unaccredited digital banks that perform any traditional bank-like function, cryptocurrency credit or debit cards, initial coin offerings, token sales, or other means of promotion or advertisement of individual digital currencies or tokens.

It depends on the quality of your ad, but in general the CPM/CPC are lower.

Reasonable ads have CPM of $4 - $6. Really good ads have CPM of $1 - $3. But in the beginning it is normal to have CPM of $8 - $10.

About CPC is not so difficult to have numbers between $0.2 and $0.8 in sales campaigns... on FB I usually get between $0.7 and $1.3

If TikTok ads does well, this will be good for us marketers as it will drive down costs on FB and G ads.

I've spent a pretty good amount of money in the last 3 months on TikTok ads for my personal projects, as well as for my eCom store, and here're a few things that I found:

- You will get a ton of clicks to your store, and your conversion rate will not be higher than 2% most of the times
- Though, CPMs are super low, as I saw a maximum of $8 for US traffic ("Conversions" campaign)
- As you said - it's all about your creative. Targeting is non-existing and you can just go ahead and run your very first TikTok ad without even selecting any interests at all
- Their support is gold, as you can contact them anytime, and if your ad gets rejected, they write everything down to you on what was wrong, etc.
- It's impossible to spy on other ads, as there are no spy tools for TikTk (yet)

In general, I see TikTok overperforming Facebook in some ways, especially the fact that you don't need to wake up depressed every morning (almost) knowing that your FB BM gets banned or ad rejected...

There is actually TikTok's own tool for spying on competitors.

I believe the link is this: https://ads.tiktok.com/business/creativecenter/inspiration/topads/pc/en

Anyway you can search on google about ''library ads creative tiktok'', it's something fairly new and limited, but it's something.
