Heard she let Habitat For Humanity come in and gut the place first of all the fixtures, cabinets and stuff.

Crazy though anyway ... I live on an island and can't believe the view from her place is any better than raw land along the Atlantic Coast. With construction labor prices way down if she is going to build now is the time.

She doesn't really deserve it, just because tiger woods slept with a few other women she decides to get a divorce so she can get $300 million. She was a big scammer. But Tiger Woods CPA is a dumbass for not setting up how he got his earnings in a way that would be immune to a u.s. court order.

I didn't say that she deserve it. The point is, regardless of the mistakes legally or sexually that Tiger made, the money is hers. Her money, her choice. People will benefit from the project.

So a lesson to be learned from this is to marry someone rich, and not satisfy her/him so she/he will cheat, so a divorce can happen?

Yes. That is exactly it. Marry someone rich, hope that they make a lot more money and are successful, hope that they cheat, hope that their "paperwork" is incorrect, hope that they agree to a divorce, have your heart broken, and wait and collect the money...

Are you reading what you type? It's entirely possible that you have followed their love life more than I have so if I need to back down, I will, but I have no reason to believe that she married for money. After all, it takes two "I Do" for it to happen.

As a married Christian man who thinks that divorce should not be or should be a last option, your comment still does not make sense.

I've spent enough time today on the Tiger woods divorce. The post was about the house - not her.

Come on man, you really believe that she married Tiger Woods for reasons other than money?

Why so cynical? He is a successful, charming, popular, good looking athlete. And he always had a very wholesome reputation (never known as a player, at least publicly).

You're acting as if he's some old ugly anti-social troll with money, like Donald Trump.

I can guarantee you that Tiger Woods could pull more tail than you and me both combined, with or without his money.

Well, I'm not questioning his character, but I don't know how people can disagree with the fact that she was more after the money from the start. Sorry to say it, but when you're that rich, people tend to see dollar signs over your personality (especially women).

I'm not saying he's a bad guy either. Actually, Tiger Woods is a great guy, you're right. But unfortunately, people nowadays seem to care more about money.

And as for your last statement, speak for yourself :p

I didn't say he's a great guy, actually I think he's a sleazeball for cheating (and also an idiot for marrying too early, before playing the field).

Up until the cheating he had the whole package: looks, fame, charisma and money. What makes you so certain she was only after his money? How do you know she wasn't in love with him?

That's a very cynical view, dude.

As far as the last statement, fair enough, I'll only speak for myself :)

You're actually right. I don't think she married for money at all. I remember reading that she actually turned him down twice, before accepting to go on a date with him. He was very well known and rich at the time they met, so if she were in it for the money, she would have taken the date the first time he attempted.

$12 million is a lot of money, but you have to remember that she just made $100 million+ from the divorce last year. Also, it is an ocean front property. She bought the house for $12 million, but there is a decent percentage of that price that was for the land, not the actual house. The house was probably only worth 8-10 mill. Still a lot, but you have to look at the big picture.

You're right, I'm being cynical. I guess I'm letting things get to my head. A lot of women do marry celebrities for their money, but it's unfair for me to say that they all do.

    Point taken. :)

This is just another example of the sad reality that comes from the fallen world we live in.

I can not help but wonder how many people in the world who's lives could be saved by $12m. How many thousands could have a permanent source of clean drinking water with it, as an example.

I know it is her money now to spend as she wants. However, instead of wasting it to impress people. She could bring life saving benefits to thousands.

    Just my humble opinion.
