    Hi,
For tier 2 and 3 of the pyramid, do you just use the same seed article?

I do use well spun content but if all the links to the tier 1's come from similar articles or same niche, wouldn't that look suspicious to G's eyes? Maybe mix in similar but different niche articles? (e.g. car insurance site:mix in articles on travel, mechanics, finance etc.)

Moreover, does what theme/keywords tier2 and the lower have affect the effectiveness of the pyramid in the first place? (maybe tier2...but tier3?)

    Thanks

We use a huge array of different content across over 200+ subjects for our tier 2 & 3 - and they're posted to every platform and link-type we can get our hands on.

The lower tiers are about volume and diversity; in content, anchors and IP/platform.

'Somewhat' Relevant-content only really has an effect on direct-linking, and if you're trying to stick to a certain niche of site, then you're massively reducing the availability of different IP'd sites.

I would suggest that you use different seed articles for each tier, I would also keep all the articles in the same niche if possible. Simply because the search engines like to see links from related material. This is something that has not changed.

Different spun article per tier no "replace everyone's favorites" I mean a real spin, word, sentence, paragraph, the 13949% yards kind of deal.

    Thanks guys all the replies!

I have been hearing this and I'm sure it gives you good results now. Just I wonder Google detects "unnatural" backlink themes and eventually punishes/penalizes this just as they did in the anchor texts. Thinking too much?

Make sure you are careful to leave no patterns or identifiers that can be traced as a commonality between your articles. If done correctly I don't think you should have a problem there's a few software products out there can do this for you.

Can you offer a few suggestions please, based on your own use? I am looking to include
    1. (randomized) niche relevant images and videos,
    2. (randomize) length of articles, length of paragraph, # of paragraphs, location of keywords, variation of keywords

    TIA!
