I’m surprised with the crazy data they’re taking and people are happy to give it to them. Why inspite so much on privacy, data people yet don’t care!!! For this reason I’m not signing up. Hail Elon yet staying on Twitter

It's not all bad news though.

I like the fact that when setting up account you're asked to follow everyone you follow on IG.

This makes it easy for businesses to migrate their followers would be asked to follow.

A big IG page of one of my businesses has been struggling with terrible engagement. 300k followers but can't even get 200 likes.

It's that bad.

If Threads would fix that, I'd be glad.

focus on nostr. the ultimate social platform.

It uses instagram login so your is already with them.
Yea just found out they have a new privacy which says to delete Thread one needs to delete Instagram too, you can deactivate it but can’t delete it lol

Here’s what you need to know about Mark Zuckerberg’s new creature:
  • Threads is designed to act as Instagram’s text-based conversation app.
  • You can log in with your Instagram account. This can be the scary part for Twitter, because it makes it easier for users to try the app, and for Meta to transfer data from one app to the other.
  • According to Andrew Hutchinson, who got an inside look, posts can be up to 500 characters long, and can include links, photos, and videos up to 5 minutes in length.
  • The feed algorithm relies on the AI-driven discovery approach that now powers other platforms, like TikTok and Reels. You’ll see many posts from accounts you do not follow.
… But it’s not for everyone: Threads won’t be available in the EU right away due to uncertainty about compliance with privacy regulations. Hence, if you’re in Europe and hoping to hop on the bandwagon… you’ll have to wait. --- the data thingy @Mr Positive
