    Hi

I've been finding some places to post backlinks and have used Yahoo site explorer to see where else someone was linking from. This one guy is a member of a load of forums and he's posted multiple adverts with backlinks in every single topic area. Thousands of them. I think he's the only person posting there.

Do all of these backlinks count? I've heard a lot of people say no, only one per domain but this guy has gone crazy with it and his site is highly ranked in Google. I suppose there must be some value in them, even if they carry less weight than if they were on different domains.

The PR for the domain is 7. Is it worth me spamming a load of backlinks myself?

Nobody in here knows the answer, or nobody feels like answering?

I appreciate that the elite here amongst us will not care for such a noob post, but I'd still like an answer from those who remember how they first started.

Come on, I joined this forum because the forum I had previously subscribed to was full on whitehatters that were full of the same stuff. All they couldsay was "content content content". I joined this forum so I could tap into the vast amount of information you guys have. Everyone knows that someone trying to cheat a system (in a sense) knows far more about it that someone that's just going along with it. Look at people who claim benefits.

I just want some of that enlightenment too :)

It would help if you told us which forum, then we could view the posts to see the juice.

What was the previous content heavy forum you used ?

The forum is thewinger dott komm forwardslash mboard and it's PR6 not 7 as I had thought. One question about backlinks; if I simply put the text for the url on a page, without it being a link, does it still get spidered because it's a valid url, or does it have to be a clickable link? I'm guessing it has to be a proper link but clarification is always good.

The only other forum I had previously paid attention to was the arrior (with a w in front) one. It appears to be a place where people gather to offer conflicting opinions. The only thing they all agree on seems to be "content is king".

Can you point me in the direction of a good auto forum poster? I've found a few links in the downloads section but they're dead.

EDIT: I dislike this post filter

When noting the PR for a forum, which page should be used?

yeah Cabbage..., SEO Quake toolbar shows PR3 as well as G toolbar. I don't know what you are using that shows you a PR6 or7, but it's probably fake, so you may not get the juice you are seeking anyway.
