So Zuckerberg wants to Instagram, Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp.

In short, if I’m using Instagram and WhatsApp, but not Facebook or Facebook Messenger, I’ll soon be able to converse with someone on Messenger from my Instagram or WhatsApp account(s).

Good move or not by Facebook?

I would support messenger + WhatsApp merger and leave IG alone.

They could have let the whatsapp alone. It's an unique experience and they are gonna ruin it I believe. However, I will wait and see what happens (and we have telegram anyway.. which is the better whapsapp already).

Sounds like a good move to me. I hate that I need Whatsapp for the two people in my contacts that use it..

More like a single inbox? So what about whatsapp's end-to-end encryption? Only Mr. Mountain of Sweetness can tell

I would prefer if they keep whatsapp out of this.

in mobile world last year Whatsapp is the most used app and the most app users spand time on it

They are just hitting themselves, people who use instagram but not messenger, do that for a reason

These are better off working independently. Not going to help Facebook apart from using WhatsApp database to improve their adverts framework but people will get annoyed and move on. Who knows telegram might take over.
Instagram is perfect the way it is now. So many people now use just Instagram and they might not like the new interface with everything combined.

Zuck is smarter than I - so probably a good move.

I don't have Facebook, so won't really affect me there.

I do like keeping my Whatsapp for professional business and Instagram for friends - will be interesting how it goes down.
