What do you think of the new Google Instant?

I personally like it. However, I can't imagine this on a mobile device or a slow connection. :S

In my opinion the only reason they implemented it was to help steer searchers to higher adsense keywords. The longer the keyphrase the less money a company has to bid to get at the #1 sponsored spot. Instant pulls up suggested terms that induce the searcher to stop before they enter in the long tail phrase, which pulls up more lucrative ads that Google hopes you'll click on.

It's no secret that G's ad revenue has been on the decline for quite some time.

Google explains to the world how Instant will save "billions" of seconds, but why would they care about that? I think it will definitely affect some affiliate marketing efforts, especially for long-tail keywords.

    Just my two cents.

    That's actually a good opinion. :)

I don't like it. It is so distracting to see so many things flickering when you are typing in the search box. I guess it's success depends on how savvy google's browsing population is. If a lot of them are two finger typers, I don't think it will be very good for them, or maybe it will be good for them because the users get distracted to see what google wants them to see. I don't know.
