I whipped this up as a result of seeing a thread recently where a member here was complaining about the drawbacks of building his site off paid permanent PBN posts. I was about to write a long rant about how you should only use that particular link as a very small part of your overall SEO, but instead decided to simply whip up a graphic for all of you to illustrate what I'm personally "feeding" me sites these days. Enjoy...

This is useless without a link diagram.

Some of you guys here have really tough time understanding pretty simple picture.

It's written there "Tier 1 SEO Pyramid"

I admit that might get confusing, but those links are all tier 1. Top of the pyramid are the most quality links and as the pyramid goes lower, the less quality stuff.

However, I am quite confused about why are paid PBNs on top and private PBNs 4th? Shouldn't it be the other way around? :)

Not at all, this picture is simply a ratio of T1 links type, meaning he build less "paid PBN" than "private PBN", more "authority links" than "web 2"

You guys basically have the gist, its the same principal as the "food pyramid" that governments used to post for recommended ratios of foods in your daily diet.

Same principal here, the base of the pyramid is what you base your diet upon, and things closer to the top are things you should eat less regularly. So just as you wouldn't live off just candy and bacon, you shouldn't just build your Tier 1 linkbuilding upon paid PBNs. I make my base social links (what I use the most of) and authority links, then I have a healthy amount of private PBNs I created, followed by some manual web2.0's, then an occasional sprinkling of diverse links such as Forum Posts and Blog Comments. Then on rare occasions I'll treat myself to a few paid PBN posts to some of the inner pages that don't get much love otherwise. Just like a healthy diet, you need to identify quality and natural link-types and base most your diet off that, adding other types only on occasion for diversity's sake.

    Hope that clears things up.

    Nice post man.

I'm guessing social links are things like tweets and stuff? Have you ever tried this without that componant?

Just to clarify. "social links"? Is it social signals? Or the permalink of the post in your social media account? Same for "authority links", is it guest posts? Just want to make sure.

    Thanks, ThopHayt

    Hey there,

I'm just curious what kind of social signals you send? Do you buy them from vendors, use services like Addmefast, constantly tweet from your brand account only, buy social ads, a mix?
