How do you change what the big ol' Google says about your website under the search results?

Use meta tags: description and title. If you have wordpress then install a plugin called "all in one seo". It lets you change the meta tags without having to open any files and doing it manually.

    How to use meta tags:
    Code:

You asking about description? You can change it on your site... Check your source code for current description and you can update there...

    Ah thanks both,

I am currently using All In One SEO, but for some reason even though I have all that filled out the way I want it to, Google is showing a description that is a short passage from one of my posts.

I think I'll have to fiddle with meta description

Edit: Ah I think I might of also found another problem, the theme I'm using has some built in SEO options and I had a 'pull info from post as meta' option selected. Think that might have been contradicting what all in one seo was trying to do.
