I've heard so man times over the years that is way too hard to make any real money online which I have to say is false but I guess I would admit that it's a little true. This is only true in the beginning before you learn what actually works. This is not really as complicated as it's made out to be and most of it is really just a mixture of practical thinking, and a sometimes a lot of trial and error/tweaking.

For those of you that are still having so much difficulty in finding a method that works for you I have some advice. Right now stop and think about all of the methods you've tried and why you tried them. Think about what caused you to join in on this new method and how you got sucked in. Now think about all of the money you've already spent on "making money techniques" and how that person was able to convince you in giving up that hard earned money.

Now here comes the heart of my advice to you... Reverse engineer the steps that caused you to give up your money and now just apply that with you being the one getting paid. This was the start of the great change in my life that lead to a full time income from the internet/wholesale business.

Here's a simple example... Say you were on Youtube and you did a search for "iphone 5 vs iphone 6" because you wanted to know if it was worth it to spend the extra money on the newer model. You then watch a few of the review videos on the top page and then make your decision to buy one. Now you as an internet marketer should have your marketing wheels in your head turning at this point. If the reviewer was a marketer himself he would have told you at the end of the video how you can get the iphone at a good price where he also got it.. ie... Amazon and provide the link in the about section which would be his affiliate link as his astore or some kind of redirect if direct linking wasn't allowed but there are many ways to do this like getting the person to your blog first which has your affiliate link for the iphone. They then purchase and you get paid.

This was only one example of what I'm trying to convey to you if your someone that's been struggling for awhile to figure this whole "making money online" thing out. Most of the time you can just reverse engineer a method that worked on you and do it yourself. I hope I was able to explain this in the right way and it's able to help some people.

Great point. Sometimes, the solution we are after is right in our faces. If it worked on us, it could work on other people too.

Excellent points, I think the other thing is that people think it's instant. That you just go online do a few things and instantly start bringing in a couple of hundred bucks a week, when in reality it is a business. You have to get rid of the mentality of oh I'll just buy a domain and put something on there and it is gonna make me money. Like all business you have to work at it and build it up invest time and money in it and always keep expanding and not just stop once the first check comes.

That was my initial problem starting out long ago, reading threads of how to make $XXX in a week! Then doing it and not actually putting any investment in it other than getting the site up.

Since it's a business, it is hard for people who aren't just cut out for doing any kind of business. They lack creative thinking and can only do what they are told. People with new ideas, determination and courage always succeed, and not just online, offline as well. Unfortunately, often those people with zero potential don't understand it themselves and spend years (and $$$) trying to make it in the IM world, without realizing they should stick to their factory jobs instead.

I have never ever thought that making money online is hard, in fact, it's easier than most offline jobs I could get.

I think a good part of the issue is that people are too quick to "invest" money, especially those not too familiar with IM. The truth is that you hardly need any money to invest in order to start making money online, even if you are trying many different methods. Only when you are familiar with what works and what doesn't should you part with your money, aside from things like web hosting/domain.

Thanks. Yup that's exactly what I mean. So often we try to complicate things beyond what they need to be. We should just stick to whats been working for others and then after we have steady income we can start to branch out and try riskier strategies and methods.

Great thread. I started this whole IM almost a year ago and looking back I see how much of a bumbling ideot I was thinking it would be a cake walk. It isn't. Now that I've finally found a method that actually seems to be working so far, I'm doing everything I can to scale it up. And what I'm doing now is something that worked on me many times in the past so I know it works on other people too. Good point about reverse engineering.

I must admit that I was one of the idiots that thought if I simply threw up a website, somehow $ would magically appear in my bank account. Boy, did I find out the hard way. It's funny though, I actually used to co-own a restaurant from '07-'10, but due to health problems I had to sell out. After paying hospital bills, I wasn't left with much. But, I'm determined to make a living with IM, simply because I don't have any desire to go back to a 9-5, that is if I don't get approved for long-term disability, seeing as I'm on temp. disability now. Whereas im gratefull to have some kind of income, it isn't much. Besides, I would rather be self-sufficient and not depend on the govt. to support me.

That is what every IM ers should keep in mind as they are selling products

Yup your exactly right. That is the problem of about 90% of the "marketers" online. People don't realize that this is a business your building and never a get rich quick scheme or your going to be disappointed for a very long time. You really need to treat it like your actually job where you have a boss. In my opinion you really need to treat it a lot more serious than even that if you really want to be financially secure.

Something you said is a big reason why it's so easy to make money online. Because most are sheep and need to be told exactly how in order to make it so marketers get to take a huge advantage.

Very great point. It only takes a small investment to do a test and see if something works, or at least has a chance to work.

Yup! A good plan with daily tasks with consistent completion is a huge part of most people's success. You really just have to treat your business like an actual job and your tasks must be completed or your fired. lol..
consistent, daily applied effort in a direction.

Yeah that's very true and those people are the ones making the "gurus" rich.
Great points, but the persons who fail to make money online these days are the ones looking for 1 button press solutions.

finally someone say the true purpose of this site.

Th key thing I learned is "It's supposed to be hard".

This video helped me a lot:
