Hey newbs, noobs, l33ts and nubs :D

Here's a style of ad I've been testing the last few days and my conversion rate has halved from $20 to around $10 per sale.

The type of ad is called "motivational ad" ... you find a motivating / inspiring quote from the web and you turn it into a video.

For the ad text title use keep it short and sweet like:

Insanely Easy Way To Make a Living Online

For the top ad description use something motivational relevant to your product or quote like:

"NEVER Give Up On Your Dreams! EVER!

o_O:mad:;) www.mydomain.com/short-title"

and add a smiley face or two and your URL, use your own domain, but use a 301 - since you want to keep it short and sweet (if you are pointing to an affiliate offer).

Why does it work? I believe its because it doesn't scream of an "advertisement" and people don't like ads (normally) - plus if the quote & video is of high quality and motivational - it will resonate with them and make them want to share it, which will lead to more traffic and sales from their friends (a person is more likely to buy something that's been shared by someone they know).

I am not affiliated with this guy, but he is solid - he can get the job done for you for just $5.

--------------

You can find quotes via google just type in "money quotes" or "dog quotes" or "what ever quotes" and you'll find a shit ton of quotes.... find one you like and you think your audience would like, then find a relevant video or 3.... and give your guy the instructions on what you like. (i.e a video quote with two styles of fonts in the video, no signature, relevant background music and the video should be squared 1:1 ).

---------------

Can't be bothered to learn how to run ads with FB... no problem. Just re-sell the service (i.e high quality quotes/motivation/inspiration videos for social media). Create a sales thread on BHW or another forum.... reach out to local business pages that have social media presence but don't know what type of content to create for their page, or just contact fan pages you know are adverting on Facebook and offer them to make such videos for $25 - 50 a pop. You get the idea.

Good luck.

P.s .... I'm assuming the same style of ad would also work with youtube ads (for those of you running on that platform).

Thanks for the share, I don't have a huge amount of PPC experience, but I notice that short videos convert well and the statistics back this up.

Definitely will keep this mind in mind for future ventures.

No, but go look in the market section of BHW or fiverr... you'll be able to find people that can help ya.

yes man, can you elaborate on the 301 redirect? why is that? and do you use your own landing page before you redirect them? if not, what network do you use? (i have yet to find one that facebook accept direct linking to)

also, how do you track the conversions (purchase) on fb ad platform when you're an affiliate?

I'm not using my own landing page, sometimes I do - sometimes I don't - right now I'm not and haven't for months. For more details read the comment below.

I'm using CB.... https://chrome.google.com/webstore/...ebsite/bhmmomiinigofkjcapegjjndpbikblnp?hl=en watch the first 1 min. and 50 seconds of that video to learn how to track sales / add to carts. Then optimize for either the event "add to cart" or "purchase".

As for other networks - some I believe those CPA networks that are on "CAKE" seem to have a way to track via FB - ask your manager. 3rd option, reach out to the product creator and ask them if they'll place your FB pixel on the first "up-sell" page or "thank you" page. Normally, you'll only be able to go with option 3 with smaller companies - the big ones don't really give two poops about their affiliates (especially newbies / small fish with no proven track record).

No, why would they? The only reason FB would block a affiliate link would be if it has a red/orange rating with W.O.T score. Or if the landing page on the affiliate offer is sketchy and against their terms. In every other case, you won't be banned. Like I said, just do a simple 301 redirect via your domain. But make sure the end URL isn't in red or orange with WOT (as FB uses that to see the trust-worthiness of your site).

Then as long as the offer isn't breaking any of FB's polices or terms - you can promote those offers with a simple 301 redirect (direct linking).
