I know for sure most of us here are victims of
addiction... I'm talking about being addicted
    to free stuff.

If you are one of those looking for a magic pill
then you will never find it. You CANNOT make
money just by downloading free stuff and you
    will keep getting broke.

Ebooks, Software etc will not make money by
themselves but they can be used as a mean to
make you some bucks if you are willing to do the
work. when I say work I'm not talking about just
HARD WORK. It's only few things that will make
    a difference

..And this brings us to Pareto principle that is...
it's only 20% of our work that produces 80% of
our results. sometime it's only 10%.

So if you haven't increased your results at least
5% after downloading everything from this
site then you need to take your time to think
    about it.

I've mentioned this before that most people here
(including myself) don't use to the fullest what
we've already got but we still want to get more
    new stuff...

There is an old Eglish phrase which says...

"A bird in hand is worth two in the bush"

You have to use what you've got to the fullest
to make money rather than chasing a dream.

You're dead right relaxin, what you say is pure brilliance.

Too many people out there are constantly searching for that be all and end all product that is meant to make them rich.

People need to step back and do one thing at a time. You need to have a plan.

For example, at the moment I am focusing on list building. So i've decided to create a Black Hat Giveaway site (you can see it at http://blackhat.theforbiddensecret.com) to increase the size of my list. As you can see I've taken one idea (list building), created a plan (the giveaway site), and put the two togeather.

Always remember that Action is the Key!

Have to totally agree here with relaxin.

Most of us are really dream-chasers rather than action-takers; always looking for the never-to-be-found Magic Button :)

    Hi

    I'm also guilty of this.

Maybe we can start by saying, "OK. I've got 2 hours a day for IM, so from now on I'll spend 1 hour "working" and 1 hour "searching"."

I surf, and collect the stuff I think will make me rich, but I never implement them. So how am I ever going to get rich? Search an hour, implement an hour.

    Thx

True Relaxing, some of us are just dreaming and addicted to these forums where we come and download a bunch of stuff and let them collect dust on our hard drive book shelf. We should focus more on working.

Yes very very true relaxin, you need to take action. Read, learn, then take action. Its called the rat race, just like in the book rich dad poor dad.

Don't get caught in the rat race: example " read then learn, read then learn, read then learn"

Get out of the rat race: example " read then learn then take action, and make the money work for you"

Once i read that book, it changed my mind completely. I have been making software for about 10 years and now I finally have my sites up and i make money everyday doing what I enjoy! I dont have to take shit from no bitch ass boss that just abuses his powers. You all know what im talking about.

So do what relaxin said and take some action, make your money and dont let your knowledge collect dust.

Like many people involved in this I'm also guilty of this. You've got to be very focussed and strategic when faced with so much free stuff. The recent Rich Schefren document is very interesting and IMO worth a read. I can't put the link up (cos I'm new) but it's called the Attention Age Doctrine and it's free. Just search for Rich Schefren if you're interested.

1 name, Robert Kiyosaki. My brother bought all of his books hoping to one day make millions in real estate, the market went down and he never stopped reading long enough to do any real deals. Guess who made money in that scheme?

So true relaxin. I have a ton of shit on my puter that I have never even looked at much less use. Actually I have been deleateing some of it to free up more space for more shit I will probably never use. I just don't have time to use it all. I have been trying to stick to the basics and not get distracted. Actually I have by passed some free stuff cause I know I wont use it then I get this nagging voice. Maybe someday you can use it. It's like an addiction. Speaking of quotes, heres one I like to use a lot as my signature.
Life is not like a box of chocolates, its more like eating a whole jar of jalapenos.... what you do today may burn your ass tomorrow!!!!!

relaxin is right. I downloaded some reports for helping me for copywriting but then I found more interesting ways to make money so I diverted my attention to them until more black hat money making ideas were shared. so the attention keeps on diverting , which keeps me away from taking action. Thats y I am now concentrating on my 1st preference i.e copywriting and ignoring other for now.

You have to be careful to avoid what's called Analysis Paralysis: spending too much time reading and researching and downloading, and not enough time actually implementing and using the methods you've learned. You have to take action to get results.

You know, there are some people who are so used to failing at things, and have lived poorly for so long, that they actually become accustomed to it and are subconsciously afraid to achieve success. Don't let this happen to you. Money isn't the root of all evil, lack of money is.

Yes, I am addicted to free stuff. I urgently scan the forums to see what is new to scarf for my collection, but I do read most of what I download and I have actually tried many things I have learned.

There was initially an eye opening time when I realized just what junk people were selling over and over online. How can people actually buy so much useless stuff? How can they get away with charging $97 for a 50 page .pdf file which only tells again how to put Adsense on a page? There has to be an art to it because if I do the same thing, no one buys it ;-) So, I continue to download and read this crap while shaking my head in wonder at it all.

i love this thread. it's always great to see posts like this no matter far you've come. you can always keep moving forward. i used to be guilty of Analysis Paralysis, but after sitting down one day and actually creating a plan and then implementing it, i finally started to see results. since that day, i am always planning and acting. always keep moving forward. thanks guys for the great post.
