Tomsguide and PCmag also make money with affiliate marketing, I find it strange for them to give a do fllw backlink with anchor text kw. They're also big websites, they're not stupid, they know what an anchor text backlink means.
Do you think they contact them and offer to buy backlinks?
I mean their articles are really nothing special, just usual rewritten bullshit with a bit of hype and fake authority. But they are indeed very successful. I don't know if they just tricked pcmag/tomsguide with fake authority/entitlement (which could work - I've done it before), or simply they just bought the links.
