Not to take this particular news lightly this might start a snowball effect where "online porn" will be more difficult to access making the niche a little less "free saturated". Be advised the story is pretty disgusting. I don't wish to hotlink it. Change to http or remove it.

    Code:

WRONG DAMN AREA. Meant to go into The lounge -_-

It's just the news reporting every BS story they can to try to make an example out of something. It's like when they said video games like GTA were responsible for influencing teenagers to be violent, they just paid the teenagers to say that their violence came from playing GTA.

I wish they never elected that wanker to be the prime minister, he's behind all of this BS news.

I agree with you 100%. But regardless the story is real and is sensitive enough for some ISP's to be heros (even try to charge for porn, make it illegal off of .xxx domains and charge people to view .xxx domains) all in the name of "kids safety"

The news hasn't been "un-altered" for ages. It's used to distract us or make a "natural" occurrence appear to be the reason behind changes the big-wigs want.
The Porn Industry KNOWS it's losing money, so people were paid off to make this news influence the public to support charging for Porn.
In essence; they get sheep to ask for their rights to be taken. Porn starts earning big again.

I wouldn't worry about it. There have been instances of people trying to connect abuse to porn for as long as there's been porn. This article is just gawker trying to capitalize on a quirky news story the way they always do, I will be very surprised if it actually changes anything. The detective saying "this is one of those tragic sexual experimentation cases" proves that this is just something that happens from time to time and is probbaly not a growing concern.

ISPs filtering and charging for specific content may be a real concern, but that is why guerilla mesh nets are becoming more common. If more people get on board with this concept, there will be very little the gov't can do so long as the hardware is out there.
