A few things are getting mixed up here.

1 There is a concept of positive thinking and self belief. You may not trust the law of attraction but positive thinking definitely gets you good results.
2 "The Secret" movie/book is not the law of attraction. They made it sound like that to make people excited and sell stuff.
3 Law of attraction is not just about dreaming and visualization, its also about taking concrete actions.

Once you're clear on the RESULT you desire and you have a researched plan... Stop sitting back and wishing and hoping...

Good points. I believe OP is looking at this from a negative standpoint. There's some truth to it.

LOA does work.. at least it did for me when I tried it (But it wasn't an overnight thing... took a few months, but the results were quantifiable). It wasn't just sitting and "thinking/attracting" what I wanted. You also need to start putting it into work.

The key with LOA is that when you focus on something, you subconsciously start to work towards it because you are "thinking about it" all the time, and that's about it... and this enables you to find opportunities you didn't think of before. Its as simple as praying. You can sit and pray all you want, but if you don't put in the efforts, nothing will happen.

Unfortunately, this niche has been milked so much that it has moved into the 'scam territory' with books and whatnot... similar to how religion operates these days.

James Jani on YT made an excellent video on this to the point of actually getting into the details on the background of people like Abraham Hicks and other big names that are often cited.

At the end, it comes down to this.. Whether you think you can, or you think you can't, you are right!

Law of attraction is not just about thinking positive and waiting for things to come into your life. In the word Law of Attraction there's also the word "action". So you also need to take actions towards your goal. Yes, your thoughts can affect your health and many aspect in your life aswell. Infact, 1/3 of all healing in medicine is due to the placebo effect which is healing through positive expectation. As for why some people have disease like cancer, it can be because of poor habits and defects passed through the gene from a person's heredity.

Also, the Law of Attraction and the Law of Vibration goes together. We attract things in our life based on our vibrational frequency. This is why you need to raise your vibration before you can send an intention to attract something in your life, otherwise it doesn't work for you. That's why people who are desperate for something attract more lack in their life because they are at a low vibe. You need to first raise your vibe then you will be able to attract things in your life.

If it's in a marketing book then know the money is selling ideas, not the idea.

He bought the domain Limos.com from the secondary market (with credit cards, according to him) and built a business around it.
Sold it in 2000 (dotcom boom). Timing was perfect. Then bought it back (recession) (timing and audacity - has to have courage to buy it back when everything is going down) and sold again in 2007 (Web 2.0).
Wrote a book (The Millionaire Fastlane - around 2011 if I remember correctly) and built a community and services around it.

Limos.com worked by getting leads for businesses and getting a cut - in other words, affiliate marketing. Lead-gen.

His book states that affiliate marketing is one of the slow lanes and advocates one to get into the fast lane by other means (products, royalties).
When someone asked him about the contradiction (basically called him out on that), he clarified that lead-gen was [paraphrasing] "a great business to be in as long as you own the marketplace".

I was trying to get more information, but none of the news sites seem to have records of a sale of limos.com (or limosforsale.com - the other domain) during the period 1999-2008. Maybe all those transactions were totally private.
If anyone finds the actual press release (of the transaction in 2000, or the buy-back, or the 2008 sale) or news clip, please share.

I've read the book. Generally, it's a bunch of BS, but a small part makes sense in a way that if you wish something really hard, you will actually work hard towards getting it.

Whenever I saw that mentioned I always thought it was about ways to pick up girls.

it's not about who is smarter or not.
but in fact this confusion comes when you don't have clarity.
The things with success is different era, different King that's how life it is.
so never settle for anything for less ,just be clear with your goals and in no time you will crush your goals.

Every toxic thought would manifest itself right away and backfire.
Reality itself would suck if the response was immediate.

I love to look at it as if it's just an extension of positivity.

Law of attraction / belief in positive thoughts alone deliver results are what losers say to justify their failiure.

Some things are just bad luck, but in reality winners simply have the talent to match their ambition and so can bounce back if needed.

In my experience losers who believe in all that positive thinking shit typically have the worst possible combination of characteristics you can, which is no real talent but ambition and so can never deliver.

true, true... good point.

Your statement is more a kind of reframing your mindset to go forward and achieve your goals, but most entrepreneurs realise the pain and struggle that manifests and use this to fight adversity and reinforce the mindset to move toward your goals.

That's healthy and poor mindset is keeping you from achieving your goals.

The thing I stated was the law of attraction in a way of avoiding the necessary pain to fight those struggles. I was maybe not clear but what I point with my finger as a bad thing is the "feel good industry" which is all around the law of attraction concept.
