Hello i moved this account to new project to test something and this is the result
    [IMG]
as you can see i got 250 new followers when i was just following and i set the bot to unfollow after 2 days and then you can see that i get less then 50 followers a day and then i got 163 followers when i stoped unfollowing and just following
Do you know the reason ?
so if you get bad follow back and you follow and unfollow on the same day maybe you want to change your strategies

Instagram hates AFC ("aggressive follower churn") and your settings are definitely aggressive.

I assume they penalise that behaviour by limiting notifications (and probably reach) to people you are following until you stop unfollowing for a while.

I see journeys with massive +1k follower gains dropping horrendously once they set those accounts to unfollow.

Most people doesn't use Instagram 24/7 like us (or our bots), not even every day. By following and unfollowing within the same day, you loose all of those that didn't happen to use IG in that time frame. That is the biggest reason for what you see.

Following and unfollowing with a newer account can get you banned. Some try it with no problem, many of us, stay clear of it.
It's up to you. Just ask yourself "can you be OK with getting that account banned?" If yes, then go ahead, if not, unfollow on separate days.
Overall, you won't gain or lose much by waiting 1-2 days to unfollow after 1 week or 1 month.

That's because you take the time to unfollow too, which is not productive. When you're just following, you're productive all the time. When you are unfollowing, you're less efficient because you're occuping your follow time with unfollowing. Try to unfollow at night.
