How many of you here play chess?
haha, nice cartoon.. i used to play chess with my dad when I was young, I remember once we played from 9am to 8pm non stop, just had a lunch break. Its an awesome game and I will definitely play with my kids, better than call of duty or fifa for sure!
Not quite sure but I think you need like 15 quality posts in order to qualify for making a thread. But I may be wrong. The posts you made so far are in lounge so they don't count towards your 15.
You don't need 15 posts to a start a thread
azezalunarg, go to the sub forum you want to make a thread in and you can find create new thread on top of it
I do no think like that
I think that the other guy is going to make the dumbest move so i do not think much about what he is moving and focus on my plan and fail
haha... spot on!
That's pretty much how I play it too
I love playing chess. The latest variant of the game that me and some friends are struggling with the the 3 Man Chess.
You must check it out, it takes chess to an entirely different game. Cheers!!!
While your son plays "pow pow, i have a big gun" my son will be planning and building strategies from the age of 6, always one step ahead of yours j/k.. i didn't say it was more entertaining (its not, for sure) but better as a whole, especially for kids to develop their intellectual abili
That's how I was in the beginning, but I since signed up on chess.com and been playing my ass off till I learned the secret behind the game. Chess is all about logic & foresight, you need to constantly be able to see ahead and as well anticipate the opponents move, at the same time. I'm currently pushing level 1000 - though the aforementioned techniques did aid me in getting this far, I believe my opening move was the main reason.
So if you're looking to get better, google "chess english opening" and start dominating every game you play.
yea, same here
i guess chess is one of those things what every father teaches his son
Thread title: "This is what happened to me when i play chess" lol
I've been playing chess since I was 3 years old. Was taught by my mother and I still think, that the chess is a must teach for every parent out there. I may be a bit oldschool though.
Yea.. i alwayz Win ......
I once was four pawns down going into an end game with a sloppy opponent. I managed to still even things up and pull out a draw, which freaked him out. Other than that I'm an average player.
long time i dont play chess
later i will check the websites i played i think my accounts still works
Not always, it depends of your child interests too. I never used to play videogames excepting for Civilization and Sim City and somehow I used to use a big moment of growing intellectually when I used to play them
I don't even know how to play chess, I've only ever played checkers.
Playing chess can be good but teaching kids to only play chess and devote their lives only playing that game to develop strategies and intellectual skills as mentioned is way overboard and retarded. You could teach them far better things than play chess, how to live the life and be practical not be a lazy ass, they'd otherwise look weird in the society if others find out they only play chess.
I myself used to play that game but very few people I meet nowadays know how to play so it was a while..
