this guy became famous for his "social experiments",
few of his youtube videos got noticed by the news, yet he never admitted for faking them.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6WpK--r8uKs

the people that are participating in his videos are actors.

it's just sad that someone is willing to lie in such a big scale just to become big on youtube:thumpdown.

So what? It is entertainment - most entertainment nowadays is fake. We still watch it so why would they care?

Everybody lies. Get over it. It's not right and I wouldn't do it but I'm shocked that you're surprised. Of course these things are faked. If they weren't they wouldnt be interesting so they wouldn't do it.

Yeah pretty much all of the big youtubers that do these pranks and social experiments are paying the people to act in their video. There is this one guy who has a huge following on youtube that even shows his behind the scenes for his videos showing that they are acting and doing takes for the videos. Nothing new really... It's called entertainment and in that industry it only makes sense to hire people to act so that you can have the best possible results.

The irony is the next video in the auto-play was Adrian Gee's blind social experiment.

Yep. He got caught. Not defending him but you can see why he felt he had to keep lying - he was trapped. The irony is kinda funny.... getting caught in a lie about a vid focused on dishonesty.

Haven't read the thread but they all do the same shit.
Have to be pretty talentless not to get a gig on a reality TV show and then desperately try to make it on YT.

This doesn't surprise me, but passing off a fake "social experiment" as a real one isn't as bad as what some of these gaming YouTubers are doing. Just take a look at this "Swiftor" YouTuber below. He wants his 8-18 year old audience to pay for a subscription to his Twitch channel so that they can earn a fake currency he created to gamble away with other users or exchange for "on screen shout outs" in his videos.

I'm not saying that the fake social experiments aren't bad, I'm just saying that this shouldn't come as a surprise.

Today Tonight, the show that ran that piece, is the worst of the worst sensationalist 'current affairs' shows in Australia. They spin stories from nothing, and behave like total, utter trash.

    I admit I didn't watch it - I close it when I saw that it's Today Tonight.
