I seem to be spending most of my life lurking on this forum lately. I have slept about three hours in the past two days because I'm so enthused! Anyway, a little about me. I had a friend who made a killing in spam when it was legal. We were teenagers at the time. He paid off his mom's mortgage, put all his brothers through school, and got himself a great place to live free of mundane worries. I was off on my moral and/or metaphysical tirade of the moment for those years and somehow managed to miss all of the pre CAN-SPAM glory days. For some reason I wasn't as excited by the opportunities all around me back then, I was too wrapped up in learning programming skills and thinking my way into existential dilemmas. After working as a software programmer for a year and dealing with corporate absurdities I realized I was through with that inbred lifestyle. Something about the indignity of it all. I realized that I'd rather starve to death on the streets before I buckled down before anyone else or signed up to another day in mediocrity haven. I quit and didn't look back. I've been working on getting to a point where I can abate my living concerns and focus on exciting opportunities as they open up. Somehow I managed to just barely scrape by with freelance work, but I've changed my mindset and have resolved to do whatever it takes to ensure I have a lifetime of freedom that stays true to my fundamentally libertarian principles of living. I'd like to just express my thankfulness to you all for providing me with more ways to become fantastically independent than I could ever have time to accomplish. You're all quite helpful and I can't believe the wealth of knowledge that everyone is giving away. I'm sure many of you are quite successful, and its amazing that you take the time to help those of us just getting our feet wet as we attempt to build a proper launching base for greater things. I hope to repay you in kind some day.
