This is kind of miscellaneous I think - don't flame me, mostly interested in thoughts...

I recently acquired a interesting sports nutrition brand. Don't ask how, it's a long a litigious story.

The brand has global appeal - it is retailed through retailers and wholesalers throughout the world, and very popular in the UK, EU and USA.

We built the website, and there is plenty of margin to push out a B > C model direct to consumer.

It's a fully legit business, nothing black hat, and has been on the market for 4 years, has a solid reputation. So no real online/digital marketing has been done. No strategy deployed, seems entirely all natural offline growth.

I'm curious to hear the thoughts from others on this forum - if you had recently acquired this type of business, how would you go about marketing it to ramp up your direct to consumer sales. I'm interested to hear how clean you'd keep it, or indeed, if you'd delve full on into black hat tactics...

Remember, no SEO, no social, no paid advertising - NOTHING has been applied yet. It's like a clean slate where the ground work has already been done by somebody else...
