This is guy is SUING my company for 60,000€, just because I sent him an email !!!

I'm curious: does anyone here actually like to get spam? I'm not talking about sending it, I'm talking about receiving it.

It depends on what kinds sometimes people offer to buy guest posts of me,give me software, send me interesting or kind of funny emails.

The general stupid spam like"Dear sir I am the best SEO alive you should call me sir and send me $500 to rank for any keyword " then generally no.

I looked at his twitter. You are not the only one he is mad at. This has to be the funniest Twitter profile I've seen in a decade.

No sympathy for the OP. I get at least 4 or 5 of these BS emails a day offering SEO or web design. Stop spamming people and you won't have any more problems.

Exactly! there is a good reason why spam is illegal, and in Spain it has been illegal even before GDPR. Previous and explicit consent has been required for ages because a national law (LSSI) and *sanctions* are up to 600.000 euros. Looking at the twitter profile, I don't read he is suing anyone, he is opening complaints in the Data Protection Agency, which is the right thing to do when you are being disturbed with thousand of emails every day or week, that you never asked for. Or do you think if somebody is ringing your door every few minutes to sell you something that you never asked for, you don't have the right to complain about that?

id take his threats seriosly i actually sued several companies for similar things and won easy money...these days it is very easy to file a lawsuit against anyone who sends spam emails
that's why offshore companies are very useful....
I had been heavily involved in spam and always used Seychelles or Nevis companies....
The funny thing about Nevis is you need to post a 100k USD bail to sue a company...
But now I'm the guy selling such solutions to spammers worldwide

It depends on your spam law in Spain, here in Sweden, we can send as much unsolicited emails we want to companies, not to private emails though. It is fully legal to spam B2B here .. =)
Thanks for the tip then you get from me today 20,000 emails about ferrets emails will only stop once you get the ferret.

Any updates on what happened? I bet my left pinky op didn't get sued.
GDPR laws don't restrict you from sending cold emails to businesses.

Don't worry. You are an honest person. Imagine many people out there doing scams and still sleep well.

I sent his company an email to offer my marketing services, and he replied to me that I'm a criminal and that he will sue my company for 60,000€ for not following GDPR !

What can I do? I'm extremely scared and i'm not earning enough money to live, how am I going to pay a fine? Why can't the guy just ignore the email? Why does he want to destroy me just for an email?

this is the guy
