Fixing the site structure was harder than I thought. I did however successfully siloed the website to the best of my abilities. There are some things I would need to fix but generally I'm done. I scraped for some other keywords in other horizontal niches and have added around 20 keywords with more than 1000 searches. What's beautiful about these keywords are I know a lot about the topic thus won't find them boring or hard to write about. Will write the article. Hits are coming and very pleased.

To-do:
Write the silo pages for the categories.
Write excerpts for the posts.

I did some side project over the weekend and made a fake hack site. I try to figure out what the next big game would be and start building the site out weeks before it goes big, this way I have a powerful spot on top before anyone do. I'll be working on the site after finishing the silo pages of my first website and while waiting for the articles that I ordered.

What's great about this site is that I only wrote one generic 3500 word article, and used the same article for other games and just changing the keywords. Duplicate content penalty, you say? Well, I'm doing just fine.

Comments: Most of the keywords have no searches until the user base of game gets bigger. I just took 33 keywords from the Clash of Clans niche (biggest game) and am using those keywords for other games even if no one searches for them yet. But if the games gets big enough, I'll be covering those keywords and I'll be on top.

Really like your journey thus far.. Question about your article trials -- Did you give all the writers similar keywords, or different keywords? Just wondering because your post gave me an idea of testing (on a smaller scale) multiple writers with the the same requirements and see which article works best for me... Will probably do that anyway, but just wanted to know how you went about it ... Subscribed

Thanks,

--Rich

I gave each one a different keyword, so the critera 'Thought of Article' might be skewed depending on the keyword. But generally, I know an acceptable/good writing when I see one.

I would like to thank everyone who is subscribed to this journey.

Thanks a lot for reviewing my service on your journey thread and placing a bulk order mate. I'll be following your journey as well. :)

great thread you have here!

Could you please comment on how you go about keyword research

Thanks

I might not give the best advice regarding keyword research since this would be my first serious website. I just compiled these steps from all the readings that I've done in this forum. My way of keyword research is to just carpet bomb the hell out of it and hope that authority would manifest itself through the sheer volume of keywords that I am ranked for.

  1. Get my hands on as much keyword as I can find.
    • Input a broad keyword into SemRush and download the related keywords.
    • Input a broad keyword into Google Keyword Planner and download every keyword which makes sense.
    • Download the keywords that your competitors are targeting.
    • Use Scrapebox or Keyword.io to find every keyword permutation there is.
    • Keep doing the above step for each broad keyword that you have.
    • By the process ends, I would have around more than 5000 keywords.
  2. Remove duplicates and compile them into a single list.
  3. Feed the entire list to Google Keyword Planner and filter out keywords with less than 1,000 searches a month.
  4. Download the list and put them into an excel sheet.
  5. Feed the list into Moz Keyword Difficulty Grader.
    • Depending on your SEO Infrastructure (People like BTB or Leith or t0mmy, are capable of ranking harder keywords. Thus, what is medium competition for them might be a very hard competition for us.) filter out keywords that are out of your current reach.
    • Put your relatively hard keywords into another excel sheet and term them as 'High Comp. Terms'
    • All the doable keywords, put them into another excel sheet termed as 'Doable Terms'.
  6. One by one, input your doable terms into Google Keyword Planner and sort the results by relevancy. I get the top 3-5 results from each keyword and group them together for article writing. (If you have the same terms in your Doable Terms excel sheet, cut and paste them to a new excel sheet)
    • My reasoning is that, Google just gave me a list of keywords that are relevant to your current term. Logically, they would go together perfectly in an article.
    • You should now have 4-6 keywords together, pick a main keyword between them. I pick the most searched or with the highest CPC.
    • Keep doing this for every keyword you have in your Doable Terms.
  7. I then arrange the keywords into silos.

This is how I do my keyword research for my current site, it's a carpet bombing type of research since every keyword, no matter how low the search volume it has or how long the words are always scores a Moz Difficulty of 30-50%. If it has a wider range of difficulty as 0-50% then I would naturally just try to rank for the easier competition keywords and not bother with those above my current capability. But alas, the niche I found has 30-50% difficulty no matter how obscure the search term is.

Comments:
I wasn't able to write excerpts yesterday due to sleeping issues. I did successfully write down 6 silo pages for the website. It's about 300-500 words each, so it wasn't that long but I was spent after it.

To-do:
Fire up SEO Content Machine and let it build content for FCS Networker use.

I didn't do much but buy new SAPE links for the website. It's costing me now 85$ in total for 87 links with more than 18+ CF. You can get SAPE links quite cheap if you take the time to shop around. All of them are also home page backlinks which is great. Would target them soon with Contextuals from GSA SER to increase power.

Fire Up SEO Content Machine and let it build content for FCS Networker use as well as GSA SER use.

Would start out building Instagram Accounts tomorrow, atleast 1 per day. It shouldn't take me long to build one and setup a campaign in FollowLiker. Plus they are relatively low maintenance so I thought why the hell not right?

It doesn't look good at all to ask for the payment. I think I should now tell the things to the Moderator. You're not reposing any of my mail or PMs.
