So one of my parental units just informed me that she will be taking away the laptop I use for researching IM when she is not home. She believes that I am "rotting away" on the computer... I kind of find this funny, considering I'd be WATCHING MINDLESS TV if I'm not allowed on the computer. Keep in mind I don't bullshit around on the computer, I'm actively learning. I'm sure many of you know that there is TONS of information thrown at you when you're learning on the web, which is precisely why I'm on it for so many hours of the day. And I can tell you I'm learning a hell of a lot more doing this than sitting in school doing (and learning) jack shit. No offense to you WoW guys, but it's not like I'm playing WoW all day, learning nothing useful. Maybe she will understand when I start receiving checks. Oh BTW, they won't let me sign up for networks and shit until I'm 18, so I'm stuck at that area too. But no worries, I am patiently awaiting my 18th birthday later this year. And let me tell you, I can't wait. Has this happened to any of you? I think its total bullshit, simply because I'm LEARNING! How many parents would kill to have their kids wanting to learn as much as they can? 2+2 sure isn't adding up to 4 here.
