That's impressive. I'm monitoring their page now to see if I can learn any tricks. I wonder how they pulled the live video stream off.

some of my FB acc got 5k in a couple of days by joining to groups and not giving any adds so maybe there is a trick, or the 500k likes were all given by 500k bots
I think it's legit looking at the comments on the page. They used a live video that went viral with over 28M views from outer space. I don't know how they pulled that off to make it appear that they were the ones broadcasting video.

I followed the video for whole 4h , its 100% legit likes , what bothers me is how can you build a page from 0 to 500.000 so easy. Everyone says you need to have good genuine content that your fans would like blah blah blah , yet someone who has no followers what so ever can get so big so quickly... why i say this is , the same moment this video was being streamed , massive pages like Bright Side with 15mil or The Lad Bible with over 17mil followers were streaming exact same video with lot less engagement that above page.

This is giving me some ideas. I wonder if something like this would work for my page but that is strange how this unknown page got more response than the well known brands.
bot likes are pretty much impossible to do on facebook anymore let alone that many in one day

That's called viral... I can point out like 10 different pages gaining likes that fast or even faster. It's not rocket science though.

FIrst idea that no - these 500k are not bots and they are not bought from some panel.
Also one more idea is that this case shows that they not bans your account even if it grows so fast - because Ive seen some methods before and guys were telling that if you page is growing too fast they will flag it as suspicous, so I dont know 550k in a day or two is enough for me to trust that its not related anyhow

They probably started by getting traffic outside of FB, advertising it here and there. Maybe toss in a heavy load of FB ads for something they know people are looking to see. The engagement would be dollars on the penny.
But yeah, for most of it is probably just viral effect. If they beat the big guys to the stream the viral effect would have people sharing their page instead of others. Once you found a place to stream video X, why would you look for another source? And if you're going to share it, why not share the place you're currently viewing from yourself?
As for the big guys, chances are there should be no change in their metrics. Those that are already on there will stay there, those that aren't won't go out of their way to find them.

Adding a twist will improve results, like use teenage astronauts in skimpy space bikinis. This will turn your Facebook page into a black hole that sucks all internet traffic into your own personal event horizon.
The hard part is building the rocket and getting your crew into geosynchronous orbit. Check the Marketplace for that.

Nah, didn't you hear how easy it is to fake celebrities nowadays? You can just rent a rocket, pay a few models and send them into space for a couple of hours.
Alternatively you can just stage it like the moon landing, if they did it in the 60's how hard can it be today?
