This crypto 'crash' has happened every year since 2015

Theoretically a valid point, but if none of the merchants were to say offer CC, then 1 smart one would do that do steal all the other's business.

2. You are in the US right ? Pretty much cashless society (yes I know some places take cash only), even if so whats the chance you walk around with 1,10k etc and lose your wallet?
3. Yup had that too, so what ? Tell your bank you will get all your money back , new CC and all. Never ever use your debit card with PIN and you are golden. I don't give a shit if that happens with the CC just rinse and repeat. While you are right that CC fraud is rising (skimmers etc) usually has no impact on the user if played smart

Anyways, opposing views on all this and time will tell. In the end I doubt anybody here truly cares about this shit unless it makes them money NOW. Sure if you got tons of money laying around this is a nice long term gamble as well.

2. Yes im in FL. I do carry cash sometimes... but again whats the point? he said you can "lose crypto" so im saying cool you can "lose cash"... in both cases the person losing is the idiot and not the system...?

3. You're looking at it from your point of view, but these credit card frauds cost a ton of money to cc companies and theyre a huge problem, crypto is here to solve that. besides not in every case they will refund your money, and even if they do who wants their money stolen for a few days? oh and you also have to explain shit... why not just avoid all the hustle?

everyone who has charged fiat to an exchange, bought crypto, deposited to a private wallet, send back to an exchange, sold and then cashed out back into fiat knows exactly that there is no cryptocurrency that is either cheap nor fast.
all that transaction times, network fees, exchange fees and charges... and then? one typo, one transposed digit or any other mistake and you are entirely fucked up.

haha, now imagine the entire electronic money transfer of the world done by the eth or btc blockchain. i mean come on, get real.
we would probably have to cover an area of a medium sized country stuffed with power generators and supercomputers just to power and process this hell machinery.
no proof of stake, lightning network or other shitty workarounds that do not solve the initial problem will ever change that.

im totally into cryptos and i surely believe one crypto (that does not yet exist) could eventually replace fiat. but we are far from that, very far.

but to be realistic, there is no practical reason for a resource hungry blockchain.

on the other hand, i dont see a problem when people say a crypto does not offer any real world value. i mean, the times where countries banked an equavalent of their currency on gold or where coins are worth their price with the metal they are made of are LONG over.
Money is a commodity with the sole purpose to exchange other commodities or services, it does not need to have a "physical" value itself.

in future, we (uncle sam) want our money to be:

-Heavily encrypted (quantum computer proof)
-Safe (counterfeiting)
-Traceable (to track any kind of crime, terrorism and more)
-Easy to use
-Easy to maintain

sure, maybe in future there will be a crypto (probably without blockchain, more something like IOTA) that could do all this. but maybe not. we will see. sure is none of the existing coins will replace fiat, ever. not even close.

Well it is just going to continue a point A vs point B discussion from here on. My point was that for fraud with CC your chance of getting it back are very good , vs. Crypto its pretty much gone.

Had the fraud issue with CC before --> Money back no question asked. Also it was just a line item on the CC so my money was not really gone as the statement did not yet hit, if not they usually remove it temporarily until the matter is resolved.

Someone hacks my wallets, steals my crypto who do I ask for help to actually get the money back?

Either way, time will tell. Hodl your coins if you believe in it , or sell to make quicker profits and get out. I read about it all too late, but think there is still money to be made, but I do not have any illusion of Bitcoin going to 1 MM and replacing FIAT at least any time soon.

Guys, I am collecting crypto in this dip, any suggestion what coins to pick? I already have ETH and XRP in my portifolio.

I am thinking of buying ETH slowly until it reaches the bottom, thought?

I'm going all in on Dent. Lost a lot of its value, and very cheap. That's my gamble.

Guyzzz, all in on KIN yeah lads cheap as fuck. Could be 19k tomorrow yay fuck it let's go all in

Man why Dent, that coin has mega big supply ?

Follow the hype on a low value coin. I can't see it not being worth more than my gamble after a few month. No other reason. Certainly not because they are going to revolutionise mobile data. Just because I think it will go up at some point. I bought in at 0.06, it's been down to 0.023 today. If I buy more, I have a feeling it will go above 0.06, simply based on hype.
