As far as I know they require people to fill out surveys or do other types of CPA offers in order to get them. Think of it as a profiting business. You want to make more money that what you are sending them so make it so they have to do 5 offers or something that when combined and are completed they equal a profit for you.

I used to do these websites and received about £2000 worth of free stuff over as period of a year. The main site was freepay. They have shut down now though.

These kind of websites will work on affiliate commission. E.g.

    1. They sign up with a company such as Tradedoubler.

    2. Put the "Blockbuster Free Trial" Advert on their website.

    3. Offer people a free ipad for signing up to their website, completing a blockbuster offer and getting 5 of their friends to do the same.

The guy will receive about £120 in commission from blockbuster (for 6 signups). Now I hear you ask, how does he afford a £500 ipad?

Well, you dont get the ipad unless you sign up all 5 people and they all complete the blockbuster offer. Roughly 10% of people will complete all of the requirements, however the website owner will still get commission for each blockbuster offer completed.

So the website owner will receive approximately £1000 in commission and payout £500 for the ipad.

In reality this wont work any more as many people have figured out how this all works and they can rack up a lot of signups easily (I.e. changing their IP etc).

I wouldn't do it because I've used about 8 different freebie sites and they have all gone bankrupt and shut down.

Membership sites are a good way to monetize stuff like this. You can even get your members to post free stuff.

You can start with virtually no money (except domain and hosting of course) if you're a bit creative about it. Also, those kinds of sites make money through CPA offers generally. Good luck!
