Hey guys, i'm going to give offline marketing a try in my small city.

I was originally thinking Google Money Maker Kit but i've heard it's crap and people will be a bit pissed of with it probably, so am leaning towards giving Acai Berry a try. So hopefully all the overweight people will sign up and whalla, an easy $30-$40 for me :p

    Anything i should know?

This is simply the plan so far... buy Acai related domain, probably just an info one. Mask/Redirect to the offer. Then print out some A4 sheets with some fancy graphics and small slips at the bottom with the URL on they can rip off and take home with them. Am thinking of putting them up at Laundrettes, on noticeboards and perhaps at traffic lights (bad idea?), and also put the domain on stickers and print out LOTS and stick them to toilet doors pretty much everywhere, and maybe even business cards as they're cheap.

I'm not planning on spending a lot but hopefully enough to make it work, i only need one conversion a week to easily cover costs of doing all this.

Will this work in your opinions?

    Thanks

Anyway i've bought a .com domain, got privacy, printed off flyers and will begin my offline marketing campaign very soon, fingers crossed!

You are going about it the hard way. What I do is run ads in my local weekly paper for an acai offer through Copeac, and the ad cost $40 a week and I always get about 20 sign ups a week and the offer pays me $35 a sign up so I'm not doing so bad with it.

I plan on running that same offer all over and scale up. You can make $500 to $1000 a day offline if you know what you are doing. There is no competition. Everyone is doing craigs, or google which saturates things online. You got to go offline, it's a whole new world and you'll be shocked how easy it is.

    Take Care,

Not bad? I'd say $660 profit on $40 is pretty damn strong. ;)

Are the networks you're using OK with offline traffic? I don't see why it would make a difference, as long as it converts for the advertiser.

No graphics at all just text. It's actually a 2 inch ad with a border around it. They have health and beauty section that's about 3 pages in out of the whole 70 page newspaper and it's only my ad, and someones hair extension ad and that's it. It's no competition at all.

I talk with my copeac AM once a week and quite a few actually convert. So now I'm going to scale up and try to make $1000 a day, and I'm still a newbie :)

OK cool, do you pre sell, or redirect to their landing page? I am going to use their creatives, some of them are good and its one less step for me :)

I thought about going the newspaper route, but wanted to invest little to no money as i'm short at the moment, but it sounds very good indeed. I've just emailed some newspapers - we'll see what they say, Acai Berry is still hot isn't it so i may give that a try as well as the eBay one i've just set up.

I was thinking of putting stickers/posters up at traffic lights and roundabouts - can this get me in any real trouble?

Yeah i have my .com domain do a masked redirect to their landing page from a well known CPA network, the landing pages are very professional and are sure to draw people in.

I'm somewhat dubious though, i mean the way they make money is send you a shitty DVD tutorial for $6 or so then bill you the next month for more, and they make it hard to cancel. Part of me thinks it's a little immoral to fool people but the other 99% goes "MAKE MONEY!!!" lol :p

I just got a cheap domain name from namecheap and then have it fowarded directly to my offer. No pre sell at all just straight to the offer.

I am now looking into offline marketing, I just looked around my town today out of curiosity, and in newspapers, classified ads etc, and there is literally NO competition, I can't believe there has been an opportunity like this in front of my eyes all along.

I've already started planning it out and hope I can get started with it, my town is full of middle aged women, the prime target audience for products like Acai it seems.

This is a cool thread. Thanks AboutBizz for the link. Great ideas..

Im struggling to find some killer offline CPA methods, granted there are probably a fair few on this forum... buried somewhere.

I can even target the offers by advertising in diff sections of my local paper.

I dont see the need to pre-sell the offer if the person has already gone to the trouble of typing in the url...

    Ok guys, a little update.

I've just phoned the newspaper and gotten an advert for 2 weeks in my local paper, circulation of 50,000 for £32 which is about $50, it's a colour advert and will stand out very well in the Health & Beauty section as it's only competition is one other advert!

Let's see if this can make me some money ;)

I'll keep you guys informed of conversions!

Stick debating whether to have the offer based at MaxBounty or NeverBlue/Copeac...
