last week I was stuck in a traffic jam on the freeway. this got me thinking "what if I had a motorcycle?"

if I had a motorcycle, would I forever avoid traffic jams by squeezing myself between cars?

is a motorcycle safe as long as i wear a helmet?

You will eventually crash and burn, but they are great fun though.

It also helps if you don't crash :)

I say that jokingly, but crashing a bike is much more likely to cause serious injury or death, than crashing a car.

He's on the freeway - walking would be even more dangerous than a motorbike

If the distance is short get a scooter, if not then consider a motorcycle.

I think its a good idea, as long as you are a sensible driver - bikes can be very dangerous.
Id love to get one though.

Bikes are cool... They are safe if you are in complete riding gear. But remember if you crash you will have more damage compared to a car. But yet Motobike is a lifestyle :D

    In my country. (England)

    Insurance is £300 per year
    Fuel: over 120 MPG
    Tax: £17 a year

This is for a little 125cc motorcycle - they are cheap as hell! they are fantastic.

I am willing to bet on the fact 90% of the people who will say don't get a motorcycle have never ever been on a motorcycle.

Get one, they are great fun and worth every penny.
As long as you're sensible and look after the bike you will be fine. I'm currently training to become a motorcycle mechanic. I love taking shit apart, seeing how it works and putting it back together.
Just remember, it doesn't matter how good of a drive YOU ARE it's over people you need to worry about.

    I say go for it

That is insane thinking, Nonai, squeezing between cars in a traffic jam is dangerous. I've had 3 bikes over the years and would never think of doing that... it is illegal and more imortantly, unsafe.

Why is going between cars that are stood still dangerous?

Legality also depends on where you're located.

Admit it, you don't even own a car.
I bet you are too young to drive.

Yes as long as you have a helmet on and a pair of boxers, you are safe as houses.
