To be honest i've had hard times finding good native writers. People want a more engaging content than before and it's not easy to find someone who can deal with both search engine and audience needings. In my opinion if you learn how to optimize articles for search engines and you can provide high quality engaging articles then you have a selling point which will make you stand out of the crowd. There are, and will always be, people who don't have time to write articles themselves or just can't because of language barriers (like me). These are my 2cents
What is a WSO please? That was mentioned in the comments at the bottom.

As far as I know, WSO means Warrior Forum Special sort of thing. Those are sold on warriorforum as legit ways of earning money. Practical stuff basically.
I consider myself an okayish writer. Just because I'm not a native, I find it difficult to get work. Non-natives are always willing to work for much less than the standard rates. Content mills are also preferring North-American writers over rest of the world. Websites like iwriter doesn't have enough work available.

I started my freelance writing back in early 2008. Started with getting little jobs here and there, posting on Craigslist and and Yahoo answers.
Where I found the majority of my clients to work for was a forum like this one. I made sure I opened up an account on Copyscape to check my own work for plagiarism. The reason I did this is because when I first started out I was basically rewriting articles or shall I say manually spinning articles. Let's just say my first few articles weren't free from plagiarism because I was new at trying to write the article in my own words.
Eventually I got better at it and using Copyscape helped me to get better at it because I could see through the app where I was making my mistakes. With that being said, I suggest getting your feet wet by looking for work on the forum and then using Copyscape to check your work. Perhaps try doing this before you create a website to see how successful you are!
