    I think that tool just checks the anchor text to see if it's over-optimized and assumes you have a penalty due to that.

    You can get crappy links from fiv3rr that may may not show up on this tool as "bad" because your anchor text may not be over-optimized, which is what this tool seems to be checking.

    The best way to check your links is by using ahrefs, majesticseo, and moz. You can get the exact percentages of your anchor text, then the check metrics of the backlinks and domains to see if they are coming from quality sources. That's how I determine if i have bad links.

    I just ran the free test on a site that was slapped
    it didn't show any bad links
