Hey everyone, I'm sure a lot of you have already come to this conclusion, but for those of you who haven't, do it now before you lose your ranking!

I have been using vingler to get fake plus ones, buying them off a reputable seller, and using fiverr (very stupid) for the past month or so. Through this time, I have only seen negative impacts on my ranking for several keywords. And about 3/4 of these votes end up disappearing.

I also read this article http://alexwebmaster.com/fake-plus-ones-study/ and it seems to backup my thoughts on this.

Just a heads up for anyone who is wanting to acquire fake votes... I just wish I knew the answer of how to acquire legit plus ones.

Idk, maybe exceptional content is the only answer here...which means I need to start picking up my game.

    Cheers.

Personally I don't like such services because I don't believe they work unless hard work is put into the service, which isn't the case for most services. I don't know about others, and I've never bought fakes +1's so I can't truly judge, but I'd think that if Google is using +1's as any kind of guidance then it will be more than obvious to Google which +1's are fake and which ones are real. They've got the statistics, they know how natural or non natural, active or non active these accounts are, so if they use +1's as any guidance, I'm sure they consider all statistics.

Thanks for the head up OP, didn't knew about this as I've never cared about it that much because of getting natural +1's. Besides getting fake +1's what other things have you done in terms of SEO?

Thanks for the heads up. Once, I also traversed that path - buying of fake plus ones. But it really did me no good.

Same experiences here. Fake +1's sometimes seems to cause ranking decrease.

I actually had different experience with +1s. One of my websites went higher in serps, but one day I opened the url of my website and noticed 0 +1s (before it was 100+). Some time after that my website got kicked on serps down. So what is the conclusion ? If you get plus ones make sure they will stay as long as possible. I would at least advise to diversificate the person who you buy them from so that the drop of "+" is not so big once one or other seller's G accounts get banned.

Just like fake Facebook Likes and Twitter Followers: There's a chance you'll get caught out. Proceed at your own risk.
