Heya guys, so recently i decided to have a go at seo and went the lazy route and purchased a seo gig of here. I've never done seo before mainly social sites and botting how ever I fancied a change. I done all the onsite seo and was on page 7 with no back linking for my main keyword. I then decided to purchase a gig from here and all seemed well, ahrefs showed I had more backlinks than the #1 spot and I danced my way upto page 4 a week after the gig had been completed. That was only from 65 links google had indexed. In total there was 1,300 links detected by ahrefs and 474 of them are do follow, the rest are no follow. The end of last week how ever google discovered another 50 odd links taking the index count upto 106.. Now my site has vanished.. Not showing for any of the keywords it was indexed for, there was a long tailed I ranked #1 for and it's vanished aswell.

I done some research into it and there's alot of speculation regarding the sandbox and as to if it's true or not. I done the old site:mysite.com and I still appear, a search for my url without the site: and i appear #1. This leads me to beleive I've not been dropped from the serps for manual link building or anything else. Anyone got any ideas as to what it could be? Am I just having a extreamly long dance with google? Or is something else happening here? The site is roughly a month and half old.

Without knowing what gig you used it's tough to say.

If you used some sort of SAPE or High PR network you may or may not have an unnatural links warning which can be tough to fix.

If it was just some standard web 2.0 etc. link blast, it could just be dancing.

From what it sounds like it seems like it's the latter type of gig, so just try to continue building some good links and your rankings should return hopefully.

I suggest, if i may, to hold for a couple of days and see if your site recovers its rankings. I am monitoring 10-12 different sites and some times rankings are crazy with lots of ups and downs.

If as someone stated above you have a link warning (check your messages in webmaster tools) I suggest you forget the domain and go for a new one. I have spent countless hours recently trying to recover from a manual penalty you just wont get your rankings back (or it is not worth time vs penalty lift)

    Hope that helps mate

Cheers guys, it was the sherlock hacks google gig. Come highly recomended and the seller confirmed on skype it was safe for new sites over skype (any thing to close a sale ;) ) not had any messages or notifications in webmaster tools. Guess I'll leave it a few more days and see what happens if it doesn't come back then I'll just forget it :)

You were not deindexed. It could be a google dance, or you have been devaluated for bad backlinks.

Using Sherlock Hacks Google wouldn't have gotten you sandboxes or penalized if that was the only service you used. You're more than likely dancing. It happens all the time, and can last days or weeks. Just wait it out and don't panic. Thousands of people have gone through the same thing using Sherlock Hacks Google, myself included.
It's a great service, and yes it is safe to use on new sites. I use it on my 1 day old sites whenever I launch a new one.

Update: finally re-indexed today for main keyword. a page lower than I was previously but I'm back :) Got a feeling penquin 2.1 may have something to do with being a page lower. Have to wait and see over the next couple of days, that being said #1 has bounced down to page 4 aswell!
