Since my sales thread has gone live today all I've been receiving tip offs left and right about people setting up GROUP BUYS and trying to crack my software on TheVault and other forums.

Now let me just share my thoughts.

We might pirate big companies software and all of that but how the FUCK do people get off pirating software made by independent developers who might only make a couple sales. We make these programs to live off the income.

Do you have absolutely NO morals or integrity?

I spent all my free time developing GODcpa for quiet some time and to see greedy little fucking kids trying to get it for free and ruin all my HARD work is disgusting.

This is not the first time BHW's BST section has been targeted for pirating software and scripts. Only difference is the other developers didn't take any legal action.

Note: If I see any cracked software of mine on any of those forums I will take legal action for having MY copyrighted software on your forums. You've been warned.

I think I agree with you. It's one thing to download stuff with a try before you buy mentality - don't like it delete it, saved you the trouble. If it was good and produced results go back and pay the seller for it. But some people will swipe *anything* from *anyone*. It's like a disease. Well, man. Do you what you gotta do.

Just in case, send a mod a request to have your baby on the 'DO NOT SHARE' list.

    Good luck with sales!

I know how you feel that's why i didn't go through with a business creating high quality templates for a platform because i know it will be ripped. Your in BH don't expect morals and conscious to prevail. Fake torrents, cpa scams, scams, ewhoring, fake items ebay = everyone is dodgy to a degree that's the world we live in, a blackhat world .

I could see why you are mad, and you have EVERY right to be, but it will be very hard for you to do anything legally against The Vault or most other places. They are usually hosted on small islands and countries that don't have laws concerning copyright infringement. You cannot sue them inside the US, and you would have to get their government to cooperate which just won't happen. The only thing you can do is build a crazy-secured product or just deal with it. :-/

Skina: Yea, I don't know the OP or what he's done. So you may be right in his case -or- you may just be generalizing because he is on this forum and you make a presumption about that. I don't know what GODCpa is and I don't care since I'm not really into CPA.

But I have to say that it is a gross presumption and generalization for anyone to suspect that everyone who is on a forum like this does shady stuff beyond a certain point (or even at all) or that everyone who is here is cut from the exact same fabric. It's not true and I for one do not agree with many things I've read here or any other place like this.

I don't know if you make sweeping generalizations of everyone here, and I'm sorry if that's how you take it but I don't mean it that way. I don't want to make presumptions about you either.

But it looks like to me that some people do that so I wanted to take the opportunity to say what I have.

Not everyone here is the same.

Srsly...i feed my babies off of the earnings from the rachel ray cookware set. How dare you!

you get props and respect for making a cool tool, but you need to deal with reality. it's like those guys that sell the ripped dvds on the street threatening to take someone else who ripped them off to court. you're all going down if you try. maybe you should start focusing on making money from cpa offers and stop whining.

    STFU.

Get your item listed on the DNS list, and leave it at that.

Everything you're complaining about is what you're about.

Now you know how the ones you took advantage of feel.

    But you're 'special' right?

I feel his pain. But I just think the anger or surprise is stupid. Live by the sword, die by the sword.

If anything, it's a compliment that people think it's cool enough to try & crack it.

Its about time a thread like this has come up. Being a programmer myself I've got several great pieces of code I'd like to sell but I too worry about the same problems. I'd be willing to donate to programmers here who are thinking of fighting legal battles against theives. Maybe it'll send a message...

well, you made a sale anyways I guess better than not. Must ask have you ever pirated anything?

Just stayed focused and there is always a percentage of loss just like at walmart, just keep developing your product the few that are shared wont equal the sales you get with a great product.
