I'm getting a SHITLOAD of comments being blasted to my site. The problem is, these blasts are linking only to main sites like google, apple, bing, and yahoo.

I don't understand what they are up to . I know none of these sites need any backlinks :p.

So, I came to 2 conclusions.

    1. Either the guy blasting them is really retarted, and forgot to add his site URLs to Scrapebox.

    2. A competitor is failing at trying to spam my site with comments. Don't know why he would do something like this, though.

I just woke up, so I'm not fully functional yet :D. Am I missing something?

Too many out going links aint good.
Second, they try to make your site look spammy, both for google bot and visitors

Or they are looking for blogs that are AA.

    Just a guess.

They're blasting a ton of sites to see if any of them are auto approve.

    Most likely answer.

I imagine they're trying not to spam their site everywhere (so it doesn't end up being blacklisted), while looking for AA blogs.

they blast shitty comments and then check back on urls for either the comment or URL (such as Google, yahoo, etc) that shows them which blogs are auto approve.

    makes sense to me.

Yep, probably going to sell the list then once they compile enough auto approve

Not sure why you wouldn't post readable comments and use a rotation of web 2.0 sites, but thats just me

They might be testing their AA list using your url or else they shall be a competitor of you trying to degrade your site. Either case, for short term results, its not good.

They are doing this for two things:

    1. Checking if you auto approve comments.
    2. Taking advantage of wordpress feature you can set in Discussion: "Comment author must have a previously approved comment" where if their earlier comment is approved their further comments can automatically be approved under certain settings.
