it was all about google adsense, then around 2005 it became all about the blogs to make money.

What is the current trend, where is the real money at over the last couple years and right now? I'm not talking about niche's here just in general... is it still blogging... or social media advertising... or is anyone here actually making money with mobile advertising

hope to get some discussion going

Google is over. Its all now crypto currency world :). Making money with them is easy.
 
Just wait, the "big boy" has to shit his paints first, 2 years tops.
 
Perhaps the Facebook era...
 
Mobile applications nowadays are great way to earn some serious dollars.
 
It is the Social Media Era since everybody is using it nowadays. But google is also important.

High Social Media Presence + High Google Ranking = KING
 
Google still brings in a lot of organic traffic and I guess it'll keep going to do that if not grow even more.

However mobile and social media are the new cherries in this game.
