I don't get this. My site is about 4 months old and it ranked pretty well the first few weeks for a keyword searched locally 6000 times a month.

Now it shows on the second page of the big G search engine. The problem is that once I see it on page 2 and then if I go to page 3 and 4 of the search engine, it will disappear completely from the search engine when I go back to page 2 where it once was. If I wait a few hours and come back to the second page, it will be there again but if I got to a few more pages and come back it always disappears.

It has been doing this disappearing act for about 3 months now. I have changed my ip and cleaned my cache before checking and I still get the same thing.

I know what the dance is but this is something completely new that I have never seen before. Whenever I check the first time , it's there, but everytime I leave that page on the search engine and come back, it's gone completely off all the search engine pages.

Have anyone else ever experienced this? Can anyone truly explain what is going on? Could this be something new that the Big G is doing?

What exactly happened in your case?

    When did it happen?

Seems crazy, but it happens to most of us. Give it some more time and it will probably slow down.

    Same here too.

Site was started in January, was ranking on multiple keywords last week, slowly getting better continuously, then all gone as of yesterday.

No special link building or anything going on.

Same thing happening to me as well, I have noticed that when my links get deleted then site moves back but when I create more back links to it then again it moves up. But google keeps on deleting my links regularly don't know why, even now when I have stopped making any spammy links, still ranking is not stable.

    Don't know what to do?

What I am experiencing seems impossible. My site only disappears when I leave from checking it and come back to find it gone. Every single time. I wonder are you getting the picture.

I've used IE and Firefox browsers with the same results.

I have been considering using another pc since this seems that it could be computer related. Maybe the big G has gotten into my pc ;)

I like your ideas. I will keep you posted when I try another pc.

What do you think is the cause of it disappearing? I don't believe that it disappears until I actually check it on the search engine, which tells me that it also has something to do with my pc.

I just used a pc at my local library. After doing a search for
the main keyword phrase, my site does not show up.

I can only guess that G has installed some kind of cookie on
my pc that does not get deleted with cache cleaner.

Very sneaky of them. Now I must try to find and get rid of that G bug.
