They came to earth to gather information. You can never tell them apart from the normal person.

They can be anywhere. Aliens are not friendly to humans. We have to find them.

In my opinion, most aliens are friendly species, if not, they can nuke the earth in 1 day isn't it? But yeah I maybe wrong, or at least there is a big organization that regulate galaxies, thus those evil aliens if when they have to do sneaky things, they must be very very cautiously under the radar to not get caught.

From most encounter events I know, aliens are not dangerous to human, seldom indeed get aggressive and jerk out gas or lazer or whatever shit but those people always want to hunt them down first lol, they maybe have to defend themselves.

Those aliens who can reach earth have far more tech than us, we are same as ant in their eye.
