    Hey BHW,

**THIS IS JUST A THEORY, IT COULD BE COMPLETELY WRONG!**

I have 8 IG accounts with around 15k followers each, and so far I've posted from ALL of them (in a row) from my home iP address multiple times and they haven't gotten banned or anything.

I want to create a ton more accounts (like 50) over the next few months because I've had such great luck so far, but I'm afraid that they'll get banned (along with my current accounts) if I continue to post to them from my home IP address.

I thought about it for a while and realized that if families have big get-togethers and use IG on the houses wifi everyone doesn't get banned, and if you go to a public place like Starbucks and sign into your IG account, your account won't get banned (even though there are tons of IG accounts on the wifi each day) and then I realized, maybe it's only dangerous to do a ton of (what IG consideres) "spammy" actions with a bunch of accounts on 1 ip address.

I do all of my follow/unfollowing through Instagress, which designates a proxy to each account, so all of my "spammy" actions like follows/likes/comments are done on a separate ip address for each account, and all I do on my home IP address is post 1 or 2 pics.

If what I'm thinking is correct (and it could be COMPLETELY wrong), it would mean that it is totally safe to sign into and manually post pictures to TONS of accounts from just 1 phone on 1 ip address, as long all all the "spammy" actions like follows/likes/comments are done from a DIFFERENT IP address. designated for that account.

Does that sound correct or am I WAY off? Please let me know if you have experience with this kind of stuff! I can't move forward until I get an answer from someone with more experience.

    --------

    Possible problem:

Even IF it is safe like I'm thinking it might be, if I had a few accounts get banned at some time in the future (because of pushing the limits too much) which I had frequently posted pics to from my home ip, could my home ip get "black listed" or whatever and cause my other accounts to get banned simply because a few banned accounts had been interacting with it (even though no "spammy" actions had been done from my home IP)?

Let me know if you have any clue! Thanks guys!

    ~Luke

    1. I don't think it matters too much. Account creation is pretty much limited, but signing in and simple posting shouldn't be a problem. I sign in all my accounts on 1-2 devices at home for simple actions and never got a problem.

    2. I think I've read several reports from people with 5 accounts on their phone and when one account gets banned, it didn't affect the others.

If you want to play it safe, you won't register more accounts on the same ip especially not with the same device. 8 is already a bit too much, on the other hand if you do different legit things with them and don't stretch the boundaries, you might get away with it.

The device being the same is another issue, especially if the accounts are created with the same device.
Let's say your theory stands for the ip (the mentioned family gatherings can be one example, starbucks, college campuses another one, where even more people use the same ip), but the theory won't stand for the device, because everyone has his/her own device and definitely aren't logging in/use ig from the same device.

And yes, accounts getting banned on an ip can effect other account's well being on the same ip, especially when those were created with that ip.

posting can't be a problem from 1 ip ...... think there is a fair or something many people post with 1 ip there.
a problem can be if you do all from 1 device...... what i even doubt that they are checking that.

just the creation is where you have be careful with.
and you home ip is changing as well. so if you don't create all on the same day or switch the modem you have different ips as well.
