Hey there. I have always been paranoid towards malware in the past. I've done a bunch of research and testing. Now I'm not really scared of malware, but I still have to be cautious. Keyloggers can steal your financial information, and bam, your money is gone. Viruses, trojans, and rogue anti-virus softwares can also be a pain. I've found the best anti-malware solution. Here you go. 1. Internet Security Go with Kaspersky. Its real-time protection module, firewall, and detection rates are superb. Unfortunately, Kaspersky is not free. You will have to buy it, but it's worth it. Don't use torrents, the keys always get blacklisted. note: keep Kaspersky on 24/7, at all times. 2. Backup Scanner Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware is excellent. The freebie version comes with free updates, and you can scan, detect, and remove malware all for free. The only downside to the freebie is that real-time protection is not included. This program is excellent at detecting pesky rootkits and rogue anti-virus softwares. Download: http://www.malwarebytes.org/ note: you do not have to keep malwarebytes on 24/7. Just open it up once a week, install updates, and scan your computer. 3. Anti-Spyware Spyware Doctor is phenomenal in detecting spyware. Spyware can be the most dangerous type of malware. You can never tell if you have spyware. They're lurking, watching your every move. The freebie version allows free updates, scans, and removals. The only downside to the freebie is that real-time protection is not included. Download: http://pack.google.com/intl/en/pack_installer.html Download-Note: Uncheck everything BUT Spyware Doctor, then proceed to download. note: you do not have to keep spyware doctor on 24/7. Like MBAM, just open it once a week, install updates, scan your computer. 4. No Script No Script is an excellent firefox addon for keeping your computer safe while surfing the web. The only nuisance is that every time you visit a website, it blocks the scripts. However, you can just go to the No Script settings and allow that website. If you're a casual internet surfer, you may find No Script to be very annoying. If you only visit a few websites on a regular basis, like me, then you will find No Script to be very useful when visiting unknown websites.
