Sorry if this has been asked before but is it essential to have the Amazon associates policy information on every page or can it just be on the privacy policy page?

My first site is now sitting at number 5 for it's main keyword and made over $160 in the last week

I personally add the Amazon policy on my footer. but i have seen others adding it to their Privacy policy page or creating a different disclosure page for it.

I just want to share this story - so it will explain what can happen from the buyers side.

Bought a product from Ebay - guy sends me tracking number - on the USPS - side it says they delivered it - but I never received the item at all.

I go to the Post Office to make a complaint that the item was never received (appears stolen) - and they are investigating as we speak.

Contact Paypal and say look this item has never been received - the item appears never sent/stolen or incorrectly mailed -- they say since USPS says delivered I have lost my money.

I will never shop with Ebay again - and will go to the Police Station as soon as we can ascertain the person responsible.

moral of the Story - Amazon dominates online retailing - they resolve these things to the buyers satisfaction every time I have had a problem - either missing item or a return.

Hey Danny did you open an official item not received with paypal or just contact them, i'm a powerseller on ebay and if anyone opens an item not received against me the only way I win the case is by supplying paypal with the POD from the couriers I have to get it from the couriers and attach it as a file to paypal, if I cant they refund the buyer. You can also open item not received with ebay 9 times out of ten they side with the buyer whatever and refund the buyer then deduct from sellers account, ebay is actually a scammers delight as it is so easy to game the system and get refunds that's why im trying to get my Amazon sites making decent money then I can ditch ebay..

We have a package receiving person and system - where every package received in the building gets scanned
and stored and you get an email telling you - you have a package. The person in charge who is there everyday
says he never received any packages at the time USPS claims it was delivered.

Our regular Post Office Delivery Person went on holidays Wednesday and this occurred Friday - so someone stole my
package most likely the new Postal Guy filling in.

I will never use EBay again - and this was my first purchase there - if this was Amazon - I already would have a new item
delivered to me the next day ... Ebay just sucks.

Anyway this is why Amazon marketing works .. people just flat out trust Amazon - so it might not be a get rich quick scheme / it might take
you a while to figure out how to get it to work so you get Sales everyday .... but do it correctly and you will get a nice monthly payment.

Who is to say that if the same issue would've been with Amazon (USPS says delivered but you say NO), that they wouldn't have done the same thing as ebay.

Such a rare thing that you can't really say that Amazon would've done better, without experiencing so.

I only buy things from ebay.co.uk and have like 70 feedback from buying, hundreds of items bought with no issues.

Every time I've opened a complaint that I haven't received my item, I've either received a refund or have had the item sent again.

More good news for Amazon people, they now pay to Payoneer as well!

Saw it on their Facebook fanpage. They said that it applied to affiliates as well.

I've yet to figure out how I can select it other than their US payment service, but I'll figure it out and let you guys know.

It just so happens that Amazon claimed to deliver my niece's birthday present - on her birthday .. problem for them was my sister/husband kids and friends were home all day and the Amazon delivery guy never showed up all day ... my niece called me crying that her present hadn't arrived from her favorite uncle ... so I call Amazon and explain what happened ... they apologized profusely and looked at my account history .. and said they would express courier o/n rush a new present and have it there first thing plus give her a $25 gift card as well. (at no cost to me)

the woman never questioned me once she saw how much stuff I buy from Amazon and never been in this situation before --- she was so nice to me I was really happy with my experience over this.

Contrast this with EBay -- I'm out the money and the package - and never buy from there again....... so yeah your way off base with your comments.

** I'm glad you had $100 day on a newish site - but keep in mind sites move up and down in the first few months so Sales can get sporadic -- so just try to stay well within Google Search Strategy to keep it up.

((I remember when I was 6 years old - how much I looked forward to my Uncle sending me a present on my birthday - no matter where he was in the world he never forgot .... so that's why it was so personal to me to do my best to get it fixed for her.))

So a while back Amazon dropped me out of their program because they no longer accept Minnesota affiliates (and they did the same thing to Missouri recently). I know viglinks abides by Amazon's TOS and doesn't accept Amazon's banned states, but skimlinks appears to allow those states in, maybe because they have an office in London.

The other day I added in skimlinks affiliate links to my site, but then I heard Amazon has a great tracking system and they could could ban me by tracing my ip in skimlinks? Should I be using a dedicated private proxy now each time I log in to skimlinks and go onto Amazon?

I've been looking around for this answer and can not find it anywhere... If I place my Canadian link or ad on my website but I get a US visitor, he clicks it just to realize they don't ship it there so he goes to the US site and buys it there... Do I still get that sale commission or is that now a "different" company and I get loss of sale due to being a "foreign" visitor?

1. How many proxies do you need for one site? The power proxies you recommended in past post are really expensive.

US Account - US Visitor = Commission
US Visitor - UK Account = No Commission

Got to order within your country - join more programs if you want to try to capture these .. personally don't think its worth it - but its up to you.

Power Proxies - I bought a while ago - was $50 or less one time payment - so not sure if that's expensive.

As far as proxy use goes - most people will change proxies each month - because if you create alot of accounts and do alot of work after a while your proxies will get blocked.... just a fact of life in IM
we have a BST Section and you can use Google to find other providors - there are choices if you look.

I'm now leaving in 7 days - so lots of selling stuff / moving / shipping to do - so time spent here is even less at the moment.

That's a whole different story. My mistake

I might look into using amazon.co.uk more often, I remember when I first started shopping online actively (I'm an addict now), I steered away from it because they don't accept Paypal and I didn't have a card I could use for that, at that time. Now that obstacle is gone

It just seems to me (in my head, not sure if reality or not) that ebay has a lot more items and with more competitive prices, because there are mainly people selling them not big companies and Amazon themselves.

I just wanted to add one thing as a general comment : everything in the thread is what I have done or what I have used --> but that doesn't mean there are better options available right now today.

For example I suggest Captcha Sniper - but Captcha Breaker maybe a better choice .. or instead of buying UD - you just buy UBot or Zenno and go custom from the start.

These are things you need to answer - when I started this I did not have the knowledge to know what was better until I started using them all the time - so its same for you guys --> you gotta work with your budget and what you can afford and then as you earn more money then look at other things as well.

Also I do recommend that once you master these sites - and how to use these tools - you look for businesses to sell your services too -- as you will learn alot doing this - and those skills are in demand by small business owners.

Just wanna update my progress here again:

My first site, which was hit by Penguin 2.0, recovered a bit and back to half of its original traffic. That puts me about $2k profit a month (after deducting all the cost for this site). With that said, I still feel that the site can be hit at any time Google feels like it. I was aggressive on SEO for this site which I think I shouldn't have.

I did mention more than a month back that I'm going to make another 3 sites. Well, I have finished putting up 2 sites together. One is a really small site with 10 pages, another one I'm building out as a larger site. The 3rd site is well underway as I have found my target keywords.

Minor SEO has been done on both site, and one is sitting at page 2 for various keywords. I'm at a point when I need help from a VA or two. So I'm drafting an excel sheet to outline all the tasks that I want to be done, like a system. If I'm able to hire good VA and "the system" works out, it will be much easier to scale out.

I went by your recommendation and got my hands on Ubot finally, looking at the videos right now to get a feel of it.

Could you by any chance give 3-5 examples of what you use it for? At the moment the only things that come to head are account creations for emails and stuff like that but I guess I don't know the full potential yet. Would be awesome to utilize custom tools a bit more and take my SEO game to the next level
