Hello BHW! This thread contains a short story about Pricell.com which i posted on our blog a moment ago. Most of you might already know what Pricell.com is, if you don?t know already, it?s a platform for selling - buying web domains, simple websites to fully established websites . We are already competing in the top with Flippa.com and our growth chart seems to be going all the way up. Well, let me begin with myself. My name is Oskar, I am from Sweden and I?ve been developing and designing websites for a couple of years now. I started developing websites when I noticed the huge market for it. For the past two and half years, I have almost created over 350 websites, all from turnkey websites, online stores to high paid niche websites. I used to sell them on Flippa and I was even a high rated seller there. However, when Flippa increased their prices in early 2012 as well as a lot of other changes I halted to use them and got to thought to develop Pricell.com and begin my own marketplace. I started the developing on March 1st 2012. It?s now about a year ago, just as I?m writing this and I really never thought it would have gone this far already. Already on the last day of the March, 2012, I had a simple working and very basic auction website with lots of bugs which thereafter took me 8 additional months to make it more flawless and less buggy as well as adding new features and function, to what it was seen on November 1st 2012, the day I released it to world as well as making the promotion page at http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...profit-low-commission-active-marketplace.html As you can see in the thread, there was a lot of positive feedback and all the way good talking. Just the day after I had a total over 60 emails / PMs with suggestions and ideas for Pricell. People offered free on Page SEO reports as well as lots of other stuffs. I have been working with them since then and I?m combining them with some other services offered at BHW. In the middle of August 2012, I broke the budget for Pricell.com and I already understood I had to put up more money than I expected earlier and I started to work as a freelancer on Freelancer.com for about 4 weeks. Meanwhile, I had other people working on the website creating additional features and tweaks, also hired some great services from freelancer. I took the money I was able to gather there and spent about most of it on my new coder as well as ordering articles and other stuff for SEO. After this I was back on track to lead pricell.com to great success, had a budget to run the website, a firm belief to reach my ultimate goal and started performing a lot of designing and putting pieces of the website together as the time passed. From October 1st To October 25th I spent all my days even nights, every weekend to develop Pricell. I?m glad I had a understanding girl! I had my goal already from back in June that the website must be completed before the end of October and on October 25th it was fully working. Sure, a bug here and there but that?s the way it should be and as the time passed I made it more flawless and bug less and with every day passing, more advanced and stable tweaks were being added to the site . It was just a fine beginning to something really great. In middle of November 2012 we had a little over a 100 members and this was just in duration of about 15 days. Me and Ben who was still with me at this moment, started to market the website. We did a lot of Google adwords marketing as well as facebook marketing. We ordered a couple of ads from BuySellAds.com and did some other marketing and some other stuff just to promote the site. We integrated Payza and Skrill in beginning of December to support more people and countries. We added new functions, remade the featured upgrade to include bigger and better images and more information on the front page. We also improved the administration area of Pricell to offer better and faster support. My biggest goal with Pricell is to make it user friendly, fair priced and to offer a high class support where you don?t have to wait hours for a reply. I?m sure if you contact our support you got your reply within 2 hours. Our average response time in Zendesk is 1 hour and 15 mins which I think is fairly great. Well, it?s not much more to say about 2012, Pricell.com was born and we grew from a small web auction site to a global marketplace. In 2013, we added much new features and services. We added an easier way to check for websites, you can just scroll and the page automatically continues which is very comfortable. You can hover any screenshot in the listing to get a bigger sized, more detailed screenshot. We added more stats and removed unnecessary stats. We did hide the stats from the listing pages so they are much cleaner and you only have to make 1 click to see what you want. We changed the listing process so that Buy It Now, Revenue and traffic details are no longer needed. A new section was added named ?Support? where you can select if you include support, what kind and for how long. You can sort domains by extension / TLDs. The biggest change in 2013 was the design. It?s not 100% completed yet but it?s on its way. What about today? What are we currently doing? Right now, we focus on our affiliate system which just got released. We integrated idevaffiliate with Pricell and offer affiliates 50% commission, unlike Flippa it will be recurring, for all payments that seller makes as long as the cookie is alive.
